Hello,
this is quite a special problem... because at the end of each document name it says .doc for Word documents, .txt for text documents, .jpg, .bmp for certain images... etc...
And I would like to no longer see them at the end... If I remove them, it gives me a message saying that the file will be unusable otherwise.

Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.1

It's very simple:
you open My Computer, then Tools, Folder Options, the View tab and look for "Hide extensions for known file types" or something along those lines. -
With XP, go to tools > folder options:
- view tab
then check the option "Hide extensions for known file types."
