Epson v700 - Ektachrome 127 slides

Hello,
I'm out of resources!!

Here’s my little problem. I have an Epson V700 scanner. I digitized a batch (12 at a time) of 35mm slides using the template provided with the Epson scanner. Everything went well so far. The quality is good, no complaints!

Recently, someone gave me slides that are labeled Ektachrome. This format is not like the usual 35mm… It’s more of a square image, 1.5 inches x 1.5 inches. And the template provided by Epson is specifically for 35mm, I believe...

Does anyone have any idea how to digitize this kind of slides without having to do them one by one?

Thanks,

    Hello everyone,
Here is Epson's response (and it works):

"To address the cropping issues with your slides, please use Epson Scan / pro mode and select the 'normal' scanning option instead of 'thumbnails'. To do this after placing the slides in the holder...

    I. Press the 2 small black arrows located to the right of the preview button (or 8 on the latest version of Epson Scan) to select the dedicated button for this function.
    II. Then do a preview.
III. In the preview, define a selection area using your mouse around each slide appearing with the mask.
IV. To precisely adjust a selection area to the contours of your slide, use the Zoom function in the preview area.
    V. Repeat for each of your slides.
VII. Activate each of your selections using the activation button in the upper left corner of the preview area.
    VII. Start the scanning process.

PS / this method has the great advantage of keeping your areas perfectly adjusted, provided that you do not redo a preview."

    Cheers,

    Hi,
I have exactly the same problem as you.
Some square slides are well scanned, others are completely cut off.
Have you found a solution? I'm interested!

I also have this problem, my square slides are scanned in rectangular format with the top and bottom cut off, and I cannot validate the format change
if anyone can provide help, they are welcome.

It is still possible to digitize slides 127 with an Epson V700. It’s just a matter of using the scanning software correctly.

The trick is simply to properly align the slides in groups of 6.

    Hello everyone,
Same problem as yours with an Epson V600 and slide "sleeves", which we used to show (in the past?) to students. According to B. A., we must all be slow-witted and affected by Parkinson's disease (except him) for not being able to align slides. I sent an email to Epson's technical service. We'll see. In the meantime, I'm getting around the issue by using a medium format template. Not ideal. See you later.
