Hello,
Let me explain a bit better, I want to set up my printer on the network, I went to the appropriate forum to find a solution, but thanks to the help of a forum member, we detected another problem that could prevent me from networking my printer.
In short, here's my configuration:
desktop computer with XP Pro SP3
local disk with NTFS file system; apparently, when it's NTFS, when I go to the properties of a folder on the hard drive, I should have the 'Security' tab, but that's not the case.

I don't know if you need me to provide any other info, let me know.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hello everyone,

    To have the Security tab, you need:
    * Windows XP Pro.
    * NTFS file system.
    * Enable the tab in Folder Options > View tab > uncheck the box "Use simple file sharing"

    See you later

    My drives are in NTFS and I don't have the security tab either, even though I'm on XP Pro SP3!! Are you sure we have to have it or that we don't need to activate an option in the administration rights?

      Well, actually, it's in this tab that I could allow access to my printer on the network, so I need it, and apparently it's not normal that it's not there.
