Hello,
I am desperately trying to set up a Skynet account on my iPhone. I do receive my emails, but I can't send any.
Regarding the data I entered:
- incoming server: pop.skynet.be
- outgoing server: relay.skynet.be
I have indeed entered the Skynet username and password.
Login: fa...
Password: the one I changed
Intuitively, I also tried replacing the password with the one provided by Skynet, without success...
I am wondering if I need to do something regarding the SSL ports...
I look forward to your suggestions for help.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best regards,
Nathalie.

I finally found the correct settings for Belgium or abroad!!! I'm sharing it with you...
For iPhone and iPad, outgoing mail
- hostname: relay.skynet.be
- username: your login mail@skynet.be (e.g., pierre.dupont@skynet.be)
- password: your email account password
- use ssl: active
- authentication: password
- server port: 587
For Thunderbird, smtp
- server name: relay.skynet.be
- port: 587
- connection security: STARTTLS
- authentication method: Normal password
- username: your login mail@skynet.be (e.g., pierre.dupont@skynet.be)
the password will be requested upon the first send

Indeed, the settings to configure OUTLOOK Email via Wi-Fi connection on SKYNET are:
Incoming Mail Server:
- Host Name: pop.skynet.be
- User Name: your skynet email address
- Password: skynet mail password
Outgoing Mail Server:
- SMTP: relay.skynet.be
- > (SMTP details): Primary Server: relay.skynet.be : On
- > (Server details): ON
Host Name: relay.skynet.be
SSL: OFF
Server Port: 25
Advanced:
- Use SSL: OFF
- Authentication: Password checked
- Server Port: 110
And it works, despite what PROXIMUS support may say, who would prefer people to use Mobile Mail!!!
Best wishes and thank you to those who helped me!

Hello Marco,
thank you for this comment, but I've tried everything you specified and I'm not getting much done.
I can send emails from my iPhone and they arrive in the Outlook inbox on my PC (as a test), but not on my iPhone.
On my iPhone, I receive absolutely nothing at all except a message like "POP not found" or something like that.....
Thank you for your help
Best regards
Paul

For OUTLOOK (via SKYNET) to sync with an iPHONE 3GS, I set the following parameters:
SETTINGS for iPHONE for OUTLOOK Email via WIFI (SKYNET):
The settings to enter for OUTLOOK Email via WIFI connection on SKYNET are:
POP Account: e.g. Your NAME
Address: Your SKYNET Email XXXXX.XXXXX@skynet.be
Description: e.g. same as in address
Incoming Mail Server:
- Host Name: pop.skynet.be
- User Name: your skynet email address (see Address)
- Password: skynet mail password (for me, it’s the one I received at the very beginning of SKYNET, but if you changed it, it will be the new one, I suppose; i.e., the one you use for Webmail)
Outgoing Mail Server:
- SMTP: relay.skynet.be
- > (SMTP details): Primary Server: relay.skynet.be: On
- > (Server details): ON
Host Name: relay.skynet.be
SSL: OFF
Server Port: 25
Advanced:
- Use SSL: OFF
- Authentication: Password checked
- Server Port: 110
You need to have WIFI enabled on iPhone and it is helpful to reset your iPhone (by pressing the ON-OFF button for a few seconds, then sliding the slider and finally restarting by pressing the ON-OFF button for a few seconds).
Sometimes it can take some time and suddenly it works. So, patience.
Good luck and keep me updated.

For your information, it is indeed important during the USB cable sync test to go into iTUNES, select the relevant iPHONE (on the left), select the "Info" TAB, check SYNC CONTACTS and/or SYNC CALENDAR (it's better to try first with SYNC CALENDAR ONLY, for example), as well as SYNC MAIL ACCOUNTS (only the first time) and the ADVANCED: replace CONTACTS and CALENDAR. Good luck,
Hello,
today, in December 2014,
for setting up a Skynet account on iPhone 5,
the hostname of the Skynet incoming mail server is imap.skynet.be
Using SSL is disabled
Server port 143
Good luck, I struggled to find this (which is also on the Proximus site
http://support.fr.proximus.be/app/answers/detail/a_id/13717/~/configurer-les-param%C3%A8tres-mail-dans-votre-application-mail
The server port they mention there is 993, but it later changes to 143?!?.
Anyway, it works, don't ask too many questions...

Hello,
I have the same problem with my Skynet account as Gmoucher for a few days now. The phone asked me to repair the inbox, and since then, I am no longer receiving emails on my iPhone (but I do receive them on my computer and when I log in via Safari). I can send emails without any problem, and I'm not getting any error messages. It just doesn't detect the emails, and acts as if there aren't any. The settings are still the same, as mentioned above. Help!

I just read your message from August (!). I've been trying for 15 days to set up my email on my new iPhone 3GS for my skynet.be address but without success. I see you recommend port 25 (done) and 110, but I don't have a range to indicate the port for receiving emails.
I feel that your help would be invaluable. Thank you
Tom
just tried it and it works :)
Thank you
