Hello,
I play at home using a SCART connection.
I played at a friend's place on his plasma using HDMI, and now back at home, connected via SCART, there's no image. I can't access the console menus, what should I do?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

For those who are still tearing their hair out because they don't hear the second beep, let me clarify the process:

PlayStation on standby (red light), press and hold your finger on the power button. There are therefore 2 beeps, the first is the one for turning on, the second restores the resolution of the PS3.

You should not press on once but only once. That might be where the issue lies for those who still can't get it to work.

Hello everyone,  I have a big problem because even with this solution of holding down the 1/0 until the second beep. First, I want to clarify that I understood the process (when turning on the console with 1/0, hold down until the second beep). But it doesn't work! I've tried tons of times! I'm starting to wonder if moving it has somehow damaged it, but that's unlikely as it was well protected and didn't get any impact...  Anyway, I'm about to go crazy with this PS3!  One small detail, I switched it from HDMI (and in France) to connect it with SCART in England. I'm wondering if there might be a difference regarding the electricity? I don’t think so since the console turns on, it’s just that I have no image...  THANK YOU, I really need help, I'm losing it!

If that doesn't work, check the quality of your cable. You can find very good ones on sites like ldlc.com or http://www.cable-hdmi.eu.

I haven't had any issues with the one purchased from cable-hdmi.eu on my PlayStation 3.
