Okay, thanks for the advice. Anyway, I'll have to be patient for now. First, I'll see what my advisor at LDLC suggests. If I manage to find a compatible CPU, I'll tackle the BIOS flashing, and in the worst case, I'll then turn to a Gigabyte... Me, who dreamed of quad cores, I think my little P4 is going to have to put up with me for a while longer :D

You must remember to connect the EATX12V located at the top of the motherboard; otherwise, there will be no BIOS.

Hello,
Indeed, I admit that when I posted my first message, I had forgotten to plug in that connector.
However, after fixing that, it didn't change the problem at all.
For your information, it's a 2*4 pin connector located in the top left of the processor (there's a black cap to remove for the 4 pins on the left).
I am returning the motherboard, the CPU, and the RAM to LDLC today and I'm waiting for their assessment. -
Hello,
I have exactly the same problem with my Asus P5Q motherboard.
But when you say to plug in the EATX12V connector at the top, does that mean I shouldn't plug in the ATX connector (in the middle of the motherboard)? Or should I plug in both?
Thank you.- Thank you Flo88
I plugged in the connector but now I have 1 long beep + 3 short beeps!!!!
I think it's my memory that is either incompatible or defective.
I have Crucial Ballistix 2 Gb (Kit 2x 1 Gb) DDR2-SDRAM PC8500 sticks
I tried both sticks separately in each slot but still get beeps! Sniff
Yet on LDLC, people who bought the Asus P5Q motherboard and this memory said they had no compatibility issues!?
I will see if the shop will let me exchange them for other compatible sticks.
Anyway, thank you for your response.
Have a good evening.

Hello everyone, and thanks a lot Klee, I just bought a new setup with the PQ5 pro and I had the same problem after assembling my PC... With everything I saw on the internet, I honestly thought I was going to have to change my motherboard, but it was actually that connector I had forgotten, and since everything was lighting up, LED, CPU FAN, etc... I didn't think it was a power supply issue...
Thanks again anyway. -
As for me, my motherboard has returned from Asus and now everything is going well, thank you for your help.

In the card itself there was indeed a problem.
I am marking it as resolved for this reason: card return for warranty service

Hello at your place-
I am still waiting for the diagnosis from customer service before confirming that the card had a manufacturing defect. It will soon be 3 weeks, and the return (with the technical report) should not be long now.
- I received the test report:
problem:
- No display/no beep
- Same with only CPU/Motherboard
- HB + ccmos: no better
- no beeps
- ATX 12v properly connected
Tests performed:
Motherboard + initial components OK ----> No boot.
Motherboard + test processor OK ----> Boot OK, BIOS update OK, BIOS OK.
Motherboard + initial processor and DDR OK ----> Boot OK, BIOS OK, Memtest OK
Installation of a test OS OK ---> Boot on test OS OK, OCCT OK.
System stability OK
Temperatures OK
So the problem indeed came from a BIOS that was not up to date ;)
Best regards,

Hello,
same issue, return service, nothing to report everything's OK!!!!!! then.......
I have an Asus P5Q pro motherboard with a Celeron 430 (1.8 GHz) that works fine.
The problem is, I changed the processor and put in a Celeron D 3.20 GHz and nothing happens, the fans are running but the screen is black and no beeping??
does anyone have any idea!! I’ve been struggling for a while (the processor works)
See you+-
Hi
I only have one idea left, this processor is not supported by the motherboard ......
It belongs to an old architecture, and by the way, the Celeron 430 is more powerful.......

Hello, I have the same problem. I thought it was my GTX 275 that had burned out xD because it works with my old GT120, but I flashed the BIOS from a USB drive and it still doesn't work with my GTX 275. Then people will say again that ASUS is the best brand for components xD so a simple return to ASUS can fix the problem? Thanks in advance :)

Same problem with my P5Q PRO TURBO (crashing after Windows 7 hibernation)
SOLUTION:
1- connect VGA and DVI and set monitor to auto-detect
2- leave only one RAM stick
3- disconnect power supply from motherboard
4- remove battery then replace it
5- reconnect power supply and boot OK -
same problem as you with P5Q PRO TURBO ... (following Windows 7 hibernation)
Procedure:
1- connect VGA and DVI to the graphics card, screen on auto detection
2- disconnect power from motherboard
3- remove and reinsert battery
4- reconnect and start with a single RAM stick
Now I’m going to update my BIOS before putting back all the sticks and everything else
See you!
