How many KB can you fit in 4.7 GB?

Hello,
I would like to burn an 800,000 KB movie onto a 4.7GB (120min) DVD-R. Is it possible? Does it fit? The movie is more than 120 minutes long... how do I do it?

    1 KB = 1024 bytes
    1 MB = 1024 x 1024 bytes
    1 GB = 1024 x 1024 x 1024 bytes =
    formula without calculator
    1.024 = 1 + epsilon (epsilon = 0.024)
    (1 + epsilon) cubed = about 1 + 3*epsilon = 1.072 billion bytes
    1 GB = 1.072 billion

    4.7 billion = 4.7 * (1 - 0.072) = 4.7 * 0.928 = 4.32 GB

    With calculator 1.072 actually 1.0737
    4.7 / 1.0737 = 4.7 x 0.931 = 4.377 GB

    Hi,

    Your movie is 781.25 MB so you can easily fit it on your DVD
    calculation:
    1 MB = 1024 KB
    800000/1024 = 781.25

      No, 1 GB does not equal and will never equal 1024 MB!

      1 GB = 1000 MB = 1024 Mib

    I start Nero, then I put the file to burn, and it doesn't fit. It exceeds because it's written in MB while the CD is 4.7 GB... I don't understand...

    Ok, it's fine... now when I try to burn, they tell me that the DVD I put in is not good... it's a DVD+R... and they supposedly need a DVD RW... is that normal?

    To change the CD or DVD mode
    just right-click on the bar at the bottom ...
    and select the type
    for example: CD 185 MB ... 700 MB or DVD 4.38 GB or 8 GB etc ;)

    Salut à tous, mon problème c'est que j'ai téléchargé un jeu en .iso de 717 Mo et je voudrais le mettre sur un CD de 700 Mo, est-ce que c'est possible ou pas ? Si oui, comment je peux faire ? Merci.
