Hello,
here's my problem.
I have an acoustic guitar, the software Guitar Pro 4, and a low-end microphone (operating system Windows XP). I don't really have a good ear, which is why I wanted to try out Guitar Pro's digital tuner. The problem is that the sounds from my guitar are not being detected.
So I decided to do a test with the Windows microphone. It records sounds like my voice well, but when I play, it doesn't record. I even placed the microphone inside the resonance box, but it still doesn't record.
Is it due to the fact that my microphone is too old and not efficient enough? Could there be any settings to adjust so that my microphone can detect these sounds?
Thank you for your help

Hi
Do you use a microphone for your PC? The kind we usually use for chatting online?
If so, it might simply be that your microphone doesn't pick up the frequencies of the guitar and only works for voice.

Aim for the moon; worst case, you'll land among the stars.

Yes, I use a microphone for the PC. But aren't the frequencies of the guitar not as far apart as those of the voice?

hello!
no connection with frequencies!
rather the Windows configuration (control panel > sound...) and there you can choose the level of your mic, especially turn on the boost!!!
otherwise, check your software settings.
A mic, a PC, and a software? You've got what you need to start some good laughs (or headaches lol)!!
