TV Sharp in hotel mode: Unlock ??? Solved

Question

Hello,

A friend gave me his Sharp TV because he invested in a larger model. However, I can't get it to work, and he no longer has the manual. In fact, I can't access the menu to set up the channels; apparently, it's in hotel mode... what does that mean?
Can someone please help me? Is the answer to my question in the manual? If so, does anyone have a manual they can share with me?????

I want to give this TV to my son, but if it doesn't work!!!!

You should look on a more specific site for TV settings, as it varies by brand and model. The person most qualified to explain its operation is certainly the friend who gave it to you.
You can also contact a store that represents Sharp televisions. They can surely get you a user manual if the model is still current.

Thank you for your response. I already asked my friend if he knew how to do it, and he doesn’t understand what happened at all since it was working fine for him... he must have made a mistake during the move! As for the specialized sites, I’ve been looking for about a month but can’t find anything that could help me. The manual is available but of course it’s paid, and in dollars with additional processing fees; in short, not cool! And on the free manuals, I can't find the one I want.
So, I will try to contact a Sharp dealer since the model is recent, well, not too old anyway, it's an LCD.

If anyone has the manual... or the procedure??? Thanks for your help, in the meantime I will try Aloes’ advice.

Hello,

I solved the problem by calling Samsung's customer service to ask how to disable hotel mode, and they kindly provided me with the steps to do it using the remote control... here it is for those who have a Samsung TV:

In a few seconds, press the following buttons in this order:

Menu / Info / Mute / Power

There you go, I hope this helps you. Otherwise, the best option is to call the manufacturer of your TV.

Pour débloquer votre téléviseur LCD Sharp en mode hôtel, voici la procédure générale :

1. Éteignez le téléviseur avec la télécommande. 
2. Appuyez sur le bouton "Menu" de la télécommande.
3. Utilisez les flèches directionnelles pour naviguer jusqu'à "Installation" ou "Configuration".
4. Sélectionnez "Mode hôtel" et changez l'option pour le désactiver.
5. Confirmez les modifications et quittez le menu.

Si cette méthode ne fonctionne pas, veuillez consulter le manuel d'utilisation spécifique à votre modèle ou contacter le support de Sharp.
