pourquoi tu fait pas
apt-get install pidgin
sinon pour ton probleme de compil
il faut installer GLib 2.0
et
pkg-config so

en faite j'ai juste installé debian ce matin et dans synaptic je n'es pas pidgin

pidgin sous debian c'est gaim pour le moment
