Supreme Commander FA Issue

Hello,
I come to seek your valuable help! I registered on the gaming platform Metaboli.fr
to enjoy as many games as possible, unfortunately one of the first games
I wanted to play was not working properly, let me explain:

I downloaded SUPREME COMMANDER GOLD (with the FORGED ALLIANCE expansion),
the expansion wouldn’t start (nothing happened) while SupCom did!
I managed to find the solution to the FORGED ALLIANCE issue, if it wouldn’t start
it was due to missing DLLs, here they are:

- d3dx9_35.dll
- X3Daudio1_1.dll
- X3Daudio1_2.dll

I downloaded these DLLs and placed them in SYSTEM32, since then the game starts
correctly... or almost, there is no sound :-/
From launching, to the menu, no sound, until the game itself of course (as this is the most important),
I haven't found a solution to this problem,
the Metaboli support is currently experiencing some issues, with an excessively long wait time
and the idea of waiting 1 to 2 weeks is torture!
So I'm asking for your help, hoping you can find a solution as soon as possible!

I updated the drivers for the graphics card and sound card as well as DirectX.
I also wanted to ask you why some games suddenly close
without any error messages
? (I return to Windows in the middle of a game :-/)

Thank you in advance for your responses!
Configuration: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit Intel Core 2 Duo 3.24GHz Processor 2GB RAM 240GB Hard Drive Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS 512MB PCI Sound Card REALTEK HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO DirectX10

    Salut ! Mon ami,

You'll type into your search bar: "Three Lights - Farewell Reality" and once you're on the site, you'll see all the X3 audio dll. Just download and install. Everything works great! I had the same problem and it's solved ;)

    See you!

Hi etemenarier, thank you for bringing me a first solution :)
Unfortunately, it's still not working :S
All the solutions I've been given haven't worked so far, I can't find the problem with this sound related to the game, thank you for your help anyway ;)

It's due to a bad installation, try it, you have nothing to lose.

Come on, I'll help you, and surely I'll save you.

A friend had the issue of the game not launching...

    The solution is here:

The file in question is: LVPrcInj.dll
It is commonly located here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Logitech\LVMVFM\LVPrcInj.dll

Just rename it to LVPrcInj.dll.old and enjoy a round of FA beta!

There you go, if you have a USB camera, it seems that this dll causes an issue.

Look for the dll in your explorer and rename it. Be careful, the dll is not necessarily in the aforementioned directory. So look carefully :) It's there, the little bugger, somewhere :)

    Have fun playing.

    For donations, contact me. :)

    Hi elowindel,

LVPrcInj.dll is missing, after thoroughly searching the system I don't have this DLL on the PC :/
The game launches since I added the missing DirectX DLLs (above) but there's no sound, I don't think that could have solved the problem unless I'm mistaken?
If you have another solution to suggest? If not, thank you for your help :)

    Hello everyone!

I come to offer a solution to the sound problem encountered in SupCom FA.
I found myself in the same situation. I strongly suspect that the last patch (January 2008) is the cause of the problem because everything was working perfectly before.
Anyway, I have a sound card supported by software, SoundMax. In this software, I have an option that allows me to emulate DTS in an application. When I disable this option, there's no sound in FA :-(... or only through a USB headset (not great). However, when I enable DTS emulation in applications, there’s no more problem! (SupCom in DTS looks awesome!).
So, perhaps we should look into the possible software that manages your sound card and check if by tweaking some options, you can get sound in the game again.
I should also mention that this is the only game for which I have to perform this manipulation on my PC (so we can exclude hardware issues right away).

I hope this can help some of you.
