Hello,
I am using the AVG antivirus, and I cannot remove the viruses it detects because a window says, "UAC is turned off; it needs to be turned on." The problem is that I don't know where to go to activate it.
Thank you for your help

Good evening
I suggest doing all this with you for a good cleanup
So to begin
Disable User Account Control (you will reactivate it after your cleanup):
- Go to "Start" then Control Panel.
- Double-click on the User Accounts icon and on Turn User Account Control on or off.
- Click Continue.
- Uncheck the box Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer.
- Confirm with OK and restart.
Then
Download HijackThis to your Desktop
http://download.hijackthis.eu/HJTInstall.exe
= Double-click on it to install
= Click on Do a system scan and save the log
= Paste the report
If there are problems see the help

See you later

yes, excuse your UAC in the off position = disabled
Make the HijackThis report so I can see what's going on

Good evening,
sorry for not responding earlier, it was actually due to the virus I caught!
The problem is now resolved! No more UAC issues.
Thank you anyway for offering your help. -
