I want to tilt a text area. Solved

Question

Hello,
I am working on Word 2003. For a poster, I would like to insert a frame with text inside. So far, no problem. However, when I want to tilt the frame a few degrees, only the frame moves and the text remains straight. I would like the text to tilt with the frame. Is there anyone who can help me, please?

Word cannot rotate the text in a text box...

Several solutions involve using an image:
- Create a word art: it's an object that can be rotated
- Copy and paste the text as an image (enhanced metafile) and rotate it
- Type the text in a PowerPoint document, rotate it, and copy-paste it as an image (special paste)

In my opinion, the PowerPoint solution is the best.

I only know one solution for this:
create your shape
Enter your text
Select the shape
Cut
Taskbar / Edit / Paste Special
Choose "Windows metafile"
Then, you'll be able to rotate the whole thing.
Be careful, the copy type can sometimes be odd, and the text is not always complete, especially if it's near the edges.
You need to resize the copy by dragging the handles to make everything reappear.

P.S.: you can also directly insert rotatable texts with Word Art
Taskbar / Insert / Pictures / Word Art, but you will need to use the available fonts and styles.

Please note, solutions provided for older versions. For the 2010 version, a ZDT can be rotated like any other object.
