I would like to know if a text box in Word or Publisher is necessarily rectangular? Or can we change its shape (round, for example)? If so, how can we do that?
As Usul from Arrakis pointed out, any automatic form can be turned into a text area. But that doesn't mean your text will take the shape of the area. For example, text in a circle will remain rectangular.
Hello, In practice, could you explain to me how to "define a custom frame and draw it with the mouse" to then insert text that takes the shape of the frame and not just a plain rectangle? Thank you in advance.
It's easy to add a sentence like that ("unless you define a custom frame and draw it with the mouse"), and not explain...
The only thing possible, but be careful with the workaround, is to use text wrapping. Text wrapping is the opposite: it's text that wraps around a shape, so the text is outside. The workaround will therefore consist of creating two arcs of a circle with tight wrapping, the text should fit between the two, like in my example done hastily here: https://www.cjoint.com/?dvnDGOD6Zm

Thank you very much m@rina, that's very strong! I also thought that the magic of the mouse didn't work like that... I see that in Publisher 2003, we have the same limitations. Too bad... Thanks also to UsulArrakis. Have a great weekend delphinus
