What you need to know is that the world of Narnia was written in 7 volumes, and the books do not base themselves on the characters, the very foundation of the film; the only thing that remains is Narnia. If Peter and Susan do not return to Narnia, it is because they have learned everything about this world and will no longer need to go back; they must live their lives in their own world and not invent it in another.
The 7 volumes, therefore, contain different but equally endearing characters, so don’t worry. ^^
The 7 volumes and the characters are (in the order of the books):
_ The Magician's Nephew, the characters: two children, Polly and Digory, witness the creation of Narnia, so this story is about the creation of Narnia.
_ The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the Pevensie children are of course the characters; they go to Narnia by sheer chance but are supposed to fulfill an ancient prophecy, that is, 4 thrones at Cair Paravel, in order to defeat Jadis, the White Witch.
_ The Horse and His Boy, Shasta and his horse are the characters; they meet the Pevensie children during their journey, in a brief moment when the children are in the midst of their reign in Narnia 1 (a little flashback, therefore, and parallel stories).
_ Prince Caspian, of course, with the Pevensie children and Caspian, who calls for their help.
_ The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, featuring Lucy, Edmund, Caspian, and the Pevensie cousin.
_ The Silver Chair
_ The Last Battle, which explains the end of Narnia.
Finally, the ending song is *The Call* by Regina Spektor.

What is interesting is that Aslan says in the last installment, I quote:
I will be by your side in your world but my name will be different.
From there, we can imagine that these children, troubled by the war,
psychologically defeated by all the horrors it brings in the background, not to mention the family drama,
are helped in a semi-paradise created by God represented by Narnia.
This is what the author seems to want to convey in his message.
Aslan has all authority, is always present in tough times
and teaches them in different ways how to handle problems.
Moreover, they experience in fantastic adventures difficult situations so that once they arrive in the real world, all of this seems easy to them.
It is an excellent story beyond the tale that teaches us many things between dream & reality, how to face adversity in one's own world.
The reasons that drive adults to no longer set foot in the world of Narnia are the adulthood, the crumbling beliefs...
the desire to lead their own life, to do something concrete, the learning being over, the encountered problems resolved,
only the desire to satisfy the needs of adult life matters because no more questions arise to cast doubt on their future.
Yet, they are sad to leave childhood behind :)-
"I'm going to be by your side in your world, but my name will be different." He refers to the name of Jesus here. Narnia corresponds to a narrated version of the Bible. (book 1: creation, book 2: Aslan's sacrifice to save the sinner (Edmund) and then resurrection... book 7: Apocalypse) there you go :) ^^

Well, I don't understand much because I think if Susan and her brother don't come back in the next Narnia, there won't be a story anymore, especially since the next one will still have Prince Caspian.
I thought they would all return and that Susan would find her Prince Caspian. I'm really disappointed; without them, I feel like there's not much interest left!!! Snif
And someone said: regarding the book, I don't know if Susan and her brother would come back at the right moment, but not through the same way. But do you know in which Narnia they'll return?????

Dear friend,* indeed, Peter and Susan have grown up and the world of Narnia is "reserved" for childhood. It turns out that Peter and Susan are now close to adulthood, which means that magic can no longer work. I cannot explain this to you because it is undoubtedly a buried secret of the author. As we know, when one year passes in our world, several centuries pass in Narnia. As the chapters of the book unfold, different stories of Narnia will be told, thus seven, from the creation and the arrival of the White Witch to the end of the world. For this last story, all the former kings and queens of Narnia's world, including Peter, Edmund, Lucy, and Professor Kirk, will return... Susan, however, will never return because she was not on the train with the others. They were on the train to recount their stories lived in Narnia. Hey yes :) if Edmund, Lucy, and Peter can't forget about that famous Narnia, the door to that world is wide open for them. But since Susan has chosen not to hear about that magical world anymore, I think she's not obliged to go back... right?

Ils ne reviendront plus parce que Susan et Peter ont appris ce qu'ils devaient apprendre à Narnia, par contre Edmund et Lucie, comme ils sont plus petits, peuvent revenir pour apprendre plus de choses. Peter et Susan ont appris plus parce qu'ils sont plus grands, en revanche Lucie et Edmund sont trop petits pour comprendre vite. Voilà.

In my opinion, the reason they can't return to Narnia is that Narnia is a realm created by the imagination of children and dreams... yet Peter and Susan have grown too old: the proof? At the beginning of the movie, Peter doesn't believe Lucy when she tells him she saw Aslan, and he tells her she imagined it. The same goes for Susan, around the campfire at night, she expresses her surprise at not having seen him, and Lucy replies that she didn't want to see him, which is, after all, the world of dreams! Anyway, I don't think they will return simply because they are too old to believe... Can't wait for the sequel!!!

In the next film, Edmund and Lucy will help the son of Prince Caspian (unfortunately, Ben Barnes will be made up to look older). I'm also sad that the Pevensies won’t return, but there aren't any main characters in the books, there is only one main place: Narnia! And there, everyone learns what they need to know.
Otherwise, the ending makes me cry too much in the world of Narnia: Prince Caspian; the romance between Susan and Prince Caspian is perfect, not too mushy and not too vague, just perfect. Unfortunately, they will never be together (because the romance was added by the director; it doesn't exist in the book, but kudos for the idea).

Here’s my problem, for my singing evaluation I chose to sing The Call by Regina Spektor, and I haven't seen the world of Narnia. I would therefore like to know if you could enlighten me on the meaning of the song in its context. I've seen excerpts, well okay, they leave, I've read your messages (which informed me about the names of the characters) but I don't know why they leave (they are too big okay, but since I don't know the movie at all it doesn't help me much) so it would be great if you could explain the lyrics in relation to the film. I’m copying the translation (it might be inaccurate)

I'm answering your question. I think Peter and Susan are not too important, as you've probably already been told, but they also acquire a lot of things for the future. However, we should normally find them in "The Last Battle."
For the movie coming out in 2010, there will be other characters, like their cousin, who will discover the world of Narnia and so on. Don't worry; we'll see them again very soon.

For your information (I've read the books) and only one out of two talks about the Pevensies. The others are about different characters except for the last one which brings together all the characters except Susan (and that annoys me by the way)!!!
