Hello,

I have EXCEL cells in the format hh:mm:ss, how do I convert these cells into seconds?

In fact, this format corresponds to a display for a 24-hour day.
So to convert to seconds, you need to create a new column and choose the normal format, then multiply by 86400.
B1=A1*86400

  but it didn't work, in N4 I get 00:00:00

Smart91 is right: by default, N4 is set to time format; it needs to be switched back to full or standard!

Hello,

By using a simple formula like: if you have hh:mm:ss.
[(((hh*60)+mm)*60) + ss] = your time in seconds, I think that's it, try it and let me know.

    As I told you in my first response, use A2 = 24 * (HOUR(A1)) + 60 * (MINUTE(A1)) + 60 * (SECOND(A1))

  To get the result in seconds, I would say A2 = 3600*(HOUR(A1)) + 60*(MINUTE(A1)) + (SECOND(A1))

Hello,

To apply Xei's formula, you need to use the HOUR, MINUTE, and SECOND functions on your TIME format to retrieve the number of hours, minutes, and seconds, respectively.
