"Failed to call startdocprinter"

Hello,

Could you help me fix my printer problem?
The following message appears as soon as I press print:
"a call to startdocprinter could not be executed"
I think the printer is fine but that there is an issue with the connection between the computer and the printer.
Thank you for your help, I would be very grateful.

-Windows XP from 2003
-Lexmark Z 45 printer

    Hello,
    I have exactly the same message after installing SP3 for Windows XP and updating with Windows Update.
    Thank you for giving me your advice.
    I have already installed and uninstalled the printers several times.
    I don’t know what to do anymore.
