Hello,
So here it is, I have a demo software that used to work (videoget) and now it shows me an error message:
"the user does not have access to the registry key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID. Exiting...".
I did some research and I know that the key in question is meant to speed up access to AVI files (video). But I can't seem to find a solution to my problem. I often come across rootkits in my searches, and I have numerous other issues (among other messaging problems and a message that appears every time I use it and won't "disappear" when I click cancel: "Windows no disk - exception processing Message 0x0000013 Parameters 0x75F0023C 0x83A3DB14 0x75F0023C 0x75F0023C").
I'm wondering if my computer has caught a virus.
What should I do?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Marion

Hello,
I admit that I haven't had the problem, but while looking here I don't know if the problem has been solved, but you never know, it might help you.
Otherwise, you have an answer here (in English)
And if English isn't your strong suit, check this out

I sent an angel to protect you, but he came back to tell me that he couldn't watch over another.

Hello Dyllan,
Thank you for your response.
I followed the instructions on the English site, but my message is still there. I'm not sure if the advanced options in the start menu count (the ones checked on the site are not the same as those checked on my computer), but if they don't count...
As for the discussion on 01.net, it doesn't really correspond to my problem, as I don't have any unknown folders. I had previously posted on a forum about this issue, but I didn't receive any responses.
Do you think a technician could help us?
