Hello everyone.

So here it is, when I try to connect to the PES network via my PS3, sometimes it displays this message:

"Unable to perform the transfer via UDP port 5730. You may need to connect directly to the internet or adjust your router settings.
Assign a DMZ setting, a port mapping, configure the NAT table or other router settings on your PLAYSTATION 3 system. Each product may use unique terminology."

And then it shows me "retry or return." I click on retry several times, and after a certain time, it works. It can take anywhere from 2 minutes to sometimes 15!!!

But the problem is that this doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes it works on the first try.

I'm connected to the internet with a Sagem Fast 800 modem, and I'm sharing my connection with my PS3 via an Ethernet cable.

So, if anyone can help me out, that would be great!!! :)

Thanks in advance and see you later.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi Sheva. Sorry for not replying earlier, but it's been a while since I've been here. :)

So, maybe you've resolved your problem by now, but just in case, I'll explain how I did it.

When you connect your PS3, it gets an IP address that you can see in the network status menu on your PS3. Note the IP, then go to your PC. Next, go to your network connections, right-click on properties, go to advanced, and share your connection by clicking on 'allow other computers to etc...'. At the bottom you'll have settings, select that, and it will bring you to a small menu with lots of entries like your firewall.

You click add, a window opens, in the host address or IP column, you put your PS3's IP address. For the external and internal port number, you put 5730 and on the right you check UDP. (5730 is the default, you can change it manually in your game if you want.)

After doing this, it should work perfectly. Be careful to change the IP every restart, because the PS3 keeps changing its IP all the time!! Well, at least for me it is. (Considering the state of the PES network, I never play it anyway.)

Also, note that I'm using USB with a Sagem Fast 800 modem; it should be totally different with a router. Since I share my connection, you shouldn't need to do that with a router, I believe. Check on that.

In any case, if you have the same connections as me, that's what you need to do. :)

There you go, my friend, hoping I could help you, even if it wasn't too late. ;)

And sorry for replying so late.

See you!
