A Varadero 125 - unmodified - well-tuned can reach 120 on flat ground without wind.
Have the carburetor mixture and synchronization adjusted (they gradually go out of tune over time) by a professional and your bike will come back to life.
That's all you can hope for while staying within the law.
Changing the exhaust will bring nothing more than a nice sound.

The only real way to gain power is to change the displacement, but that is illegal on the roads. A good professional is supposed to ask you for a track subscription certificate.

Hello Lolo, just put a 15-tooth sprocket, open the airbox a little more, and buy a needle kit for the carb, plus the exhaust. In my opinion, it should perform much better in speed and acceleration. That's the simplest solution.

Hi, for my part, I have a Varadero from 2006 and I put on a 15-tooth sprocket and a 39-tooth crown, and I confirm that you don't really gain any top speed at 115 km/h and the acceleration is really nothing, so the good compromise is
14 / 44 hp. I've tried everything 15 / 44, then I went to a motorcycle mechanic for information about a 170 cm kit and it costs about 900 € with installation, all this to gain 15 to maybe 20 km/h. We'll see.

It's simple, you increase your gears by 10%
you put on road tires BT 45 Bridgestone 130 rear 100 front
and you check your transmission ratio, very important
gearbox sprocket, you might be pulling a bit long, 1 tooth of the sprocket too many
after choosing your tires or if you stick to the originals!!!
it's just a 125, the bigger the tires, the less it accelerates

Hello, switch it to 180, it's massive, it's not even the same anymore. You have a motorcycle in your hands, not a scooter. You take the 110 km and then you go for 125 to 130 km. The torque is huge, it's a real delight. You can overtake any car, the ride becomes a true pleasure. It's really worth it.

There’s also a really simple trick: knowing how to use the clutch to rev it up from 8000 RPM, it’s amazing, but it takes a bit of practice and know-how, listening to your engine and not hitting the limiter at 12000 RPM.
