Canon copier error code E355

Hello,
I need help to get my Canon IR1600 copier up and running. When I turn on the copier, it displays system error E355. What procedure should I follow to permanently fix the problem?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

    If you open behind to your right, there's the control panel fixed by a metal plate; on this panel, there's a small counter card, that's what gives you E355, it needs to be replaced.
