Hello, I have a Casio GRAPH 35+ graphic calculator, and when I perform a calculation like 0.999-1, the calculator gives me a result in scientific notation like ""-1.E-03"". I'd like to know how to get a result that is not displayed in scientific notation, thank you.
I think it might be a setting in the parameters, but I haven't found where that is located.
Thank you for your help.

I don't have the graph 35+, but with the 65 I have:
MENU -> RUN (1) -> SHIFT MENU (SETUP) -> Display: Norm1
If you want to have results with zeros everywhere, replace Norm1 with Fix9
But you may need to redo the reverse operation for small numbers
ex: 1/9876543210 => 0.000000000 ! (1.0125E-10 is still more precise)

Hello everyone,
I have a small problem. I bought a Graph 35+ calculator in October 2009 and when I'm in RUN mode (first place in the menu), I can't really go back and my cursor is a rectangle instead of a simple line. Please help me.

Urgent please, can someone help me? I have my math exam tomorrow and I think I've lost all my data by pressing a key. Can I recover it? What can I do?
Hello, I have the same problem when I want to enter a calculation to create a graph like 9²+5, the graph does not display! Can someone help? I have the Casio Graph 65 calculator.
What do you mean by "9²+5"?
With a graph 65, if you want to change the type of function, you do:
Y= (F1) -> draws classical functions, `y` as a function of `x`
r= (F2) -> draws polar functions, `r` as a function of `θ` (an angle)
Parm (F3) -> draws parameterized functions by `T`, `Xt` on the x-axis, `Yt` on the y-axis
X=c (F4) -> draws horizontal lines of constant values `c`

With a graph 65, if you want to change the type of function, you do:
MENU -> GRAPH (5) -> TYPE (F3)Then you have 8 possibilities (I will only detail the first 4, the others being similar to the 1)
Y= (F1) -> draws classical functions, `y` as a function of `x`
r= (F2) -> draws polar functions, `r` as a function of `θ` (an angle)
Parm (F3) -> draws parameterized functions by `T`, `Xt` on the x-axis, `Yt` on the y-axis
X=c (F4) -> draws horizontal lines of constant values `c`

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my calculator, I can't change my result to fractional form. I have a Casio 35+ but when I press the H button which is "F<->D", nothing happens. It's frustrating because I can't convert my results to irreducible fractions.
Help please =)
Thank you very much.

Not all decimal numbers necessarily have a simple irreducible fraction that is easy to calculate!
If we are indeed supposed to have a fraction, the calculator will only give the correct result if the value is exact or if the precision provided is equal to that of the machine (from 10 to 14 significant figures depending on the machines).
Example:
If you type 0.333333, the calculator will not give you the irreducible fraction 1/3 because for it, 1/3=0.33333333333333.
Similarly, 0.0857142857 is not irreducible for the calculator; at best, it would give you 857142857/10000000000 (but it doesn't have enough space on the screen).
However, by entering 0.085714285714285, it will give you 3/35!
Depending on the calculations to be performed, it is better to use the [a+b/c] button rather than the [ / ] button because it allows you to maintain the fraction format throughout the calculations:
3 / 5 = 0.6
Ans / 7 = 0.0857142857
3 ¬ 5 = 0.6
Ans ¬ 7 = 3 ¬ 35
In the worst case, we can do the calculation by hand; that works too!!!

big math test problem tomorrow and when I press to get X it shows T instead and messes up my result
how can I fix this??

Well, for this kind of calculation, a bit of thought is all you need... but in any case, the calculator can't give the result in decimal form if you're in scientific mode; for example, in TI mode you can choose between Scientific and Decimal... So look into it a bit...
0.999-1=0.001

Yes, it was an example to illustrate the problem, of course, we can do this calculation mentally...
So no one knows what the exact setting is?

Well, I want to convert, for example, 0.03 to a fractional result but it doesn't work. I think the button isn't working because on another identical calculator it works. Anyway...
I haven't reset it because I want to keep my programs.
If you have any ideas, I'm all ears.
Thank you

tomorrow is my math exam and I just crashed my Casio graphing calculator 35+.
Well, crashed...
It means that when I enter a function to see its graph, the graph doesn't display anymore...
I don't know what to do to get it back to how it was before..
Already being bad at math, but without a working calculator, it's really going to get complicated over time...............
Thanks.
Variable: Range
Draw Type: Connect
Graph Func: Off
Simul Graph: On
Derivative: Off
Background: None
Angle: Rad
Complex Mode: Real
Coord: On
Grid: Off
Axes: On
Label: Off
Display: Norm1
You should also go to the V-Window and press Init (F1)
Such configurations can reset with certain games, if it doesn’t work you may need to consider doing a Reset but that will delete the programs (and cheat sheets) from the calculator
