Phone dropped in water: touch buttons

The first thing to do when a phone falls into water is to dry it quickly, but don't say it's over just yet. I have a solution to propose, but let me explain a few things first ^^. When you finish drying it, there will still be some water left inside the phone, and it will eventually oxidize after a few days, causing it to malfunction or even stop working. To avoid this, you should place your phone in a hermetic bag, preferably, and add rice (this is not a joke). Inside the pocket, there will be no more oxygen, so no risk of oxidation, and the rice will absorb the water vapor.

I had a water fight and my phone was in my pocket... As a result, my phone is no longer responsive and won't turn off. I put it in rice for 24 hours, everything works... EXCEPT the touchscreen! All that’s left is to hope!

My 8GB iPod Touch fell into the toilet this morning, it turns on but it doesn't detect my touch. I was told to leave it alone for more than 5 days, and I also blocked it on my computer but my computer doesn't recognize it. At first it did, but then it disconnected, and the battery was hot. Mine got wet and has the same issue. After a week, the touchscreen still doesn't work even though the phone turns on and everything else works.

I don't have much hope left, but if someone has managed to get the touchscreen working again, it would be nice to share it here...

I also dropped my phone in water, but it was only a few months later that one of the keys on my LG stopped being detected.
I went to "the phone house" and they told me that the warranty is voided in case of water damage, which can be identified by a sticker that turns pink when in contact with water. The solution is to get it "de-oxidized."
You need to go to the shop we all have nearby and ask them to de-oxidize it!!

A small tip for everyone, open your device as much as possible (remove the case, battery, everything that can be removed) and spend some time with a hair dryer (without burning it either).

I repaired a phone this way after two days of drying and several sessions with the hair dryer.

So yesterday morning, I baptized my almost 2-year-old iTouch... in the toilet (yes, I'm ashamed, I dropped it while in the bathroom)
And so I took my iPod out of there and immediately went at it with the hairdryer in all the little holes and such, well thanks to that I was able to somewhat save it!
But the touchscreen wasn't detecting anything anymore, so I was browsing websites looking for a solution and then suddenly (God???) it started working again!! Oo

So I can only advise you to wait and hope, it needs to be really dry and not too dry since it's still working despite the water mark at the top (I don't know how I'm going to get that out)

Hello everyone, just a quick thank you for your advice, I did all that… the drying, the rice, my phone had fallen into the toilet and I was told that for a smartphone I could skip it, result after 24 hours my phone works fortunately because Orange's customer service said it's up to you, thank you goodbye!!!

I found the solution thanks to 70% alcohol, take a toothbrush, dip it in the alcohol, and brush the connectors on the phone's motherboard, of course, you need to fully disassemble it first to access the motherboard.

Hello, I had my LG GM750 in the pocket of my swimsuit when I went swimming at the beach. It barely got wet when I noticed my mistake. I immediately dried it in the sun, but when I got back from vacation (the next day), rust appeared inside.
Since then, it won't turn on anymore (except when I charge it, it lights up for 10 seconds)
Does anyone think I have a chance of seeing it turn on again?? :'(
