salut,
j'ai télécharger 4 fichiers pour installer mplayer sur ma redhat 9:
mplayer-common-1.0pre2-1.i386.rpm
mplayer-gui-1.0pre2-1.i386.rpm
mplayer-skin-default-1.0-2.noarch.rpm
mplayer-1.0pre2-1.i386.rpm
puis j'ai lancé la commande suivante
[root@redhat mplayer]# rpm -Uvh mplayer-common-1.0pre2-1.i386.rpm mplayer-gui-1.0pre2-1.i386.rpm mplayer-skin-default-1.0-2.noarch.rpm mplayer-1.0pre2-1.i386.rpm

j'ai eut le même soucis avec ma Fedora Core et j'ai solutionné en téléchargeant les sources en .tar gz et en compilant (./configure , make , make install). MPlayer fonctionne parfaitement.

par contre quand je lance ./configure --enable-menu --enable-gui il me sort

Check "configure.log" if you do not understand why it failed.
pour tout dire je ne comprends pas bien ce message alors que j'ai l'interface x et gnome qui tournent impec! :(
Comment dois-je faire pour remedier au support de X11?

je ne vois pas bien ce qui me manque. peut-être c'est parce que je n'ai pas les automatimse du linuxien confirmé :~
quelqu'un peut-il jeter un coup d'oeil au ./configure et me donner son commentaire? en particulier les librairies manquantes que je dois installer

Oky, alors petit reflexe à avoir quand un configure est raté :
Reegarder si une lib manque, en l'occurence il te donne une belle indication en bas :
Maintenant regarde bien le deroulement de la config, ya des ptits trucs louches en rapport avec x11 justement :
Et ensuite:
Tu dois donc installer x11 et x11 libs sur ta red hat....
Maintenant je ne connais pas bien Red Hat mais il me semble que les paquetages sont des rpm ( pas confondre avec les rpm de Mandrake ou autres)....
Et je suppose que ces paquetages ont un nom qui ressemblent à x11 headers devel et lib x11 devel....Mais je m'épargne les tirets....Tu les as probablement sur les cd de ta distrib, sinon va falloir les trouver sur le net.

Ce n'est exactement les libs x11 à installer mais les development packages (souvent requis quand on compile soit même un soft qui a besoin d'autre librairies...). Sous debian le pack est "xlibs-dev" (métapackage) je sais plus s'il suffit où si y'en a d'autre, mais faut fouiller un peu et chercher les devel packs... Le pack rpm devrait s'appeler pareil.
