Good evening everyone :)

I just bought a Lenovo (ex IBM) ideapad laptop, and I have a few issues with it.
First, a small sound problem. Indeed, when I plug my speakers into the multimedia port (at the front of my laptop), no sound comes out. Well, sound comes out, but not from the speakers I plugged in; it only comes from the laptop's built-in speakers... I do have sound, that's true, but what better than the sound of good speakers :)

Next, and this is a bit more complicated, is this VeriFace story... When I started my PC, a password was requested. I entered one, and it seems that at the same time it stored my face which was then used as the password (a bit like my fingerprints for a password).
Unfortunately, and as I think I didn't expect it, the (one or more) photos taken are not of good quality, since I have to struggle for a long time in several positions before the session finally opens, if I haven't entered the manual password first. So I would like to know how to modify my face recognition. For example, I would like my sister to also be able to access the PC.

Thanking you in advance,
I wish you a pleasant weekend :)
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 2.0

Regarding the sound issue, I just found a solution ^_^

In the taskbar, right-click the sound icon, then "Playback devices".
I have three "Speakers". One was default, and two others nothing. I tried setting one as default and then the other, and it worked a little. I selected one and then "Configure". And there you can test the audio output. I plugged in my speakers and tested. The test worked.

To not make it too long, I might as well say right away that I don’t know EXACTLY how I did it. I searched a bit, explored, and I found it. There you go.

If someone really can’t find it, contact me on the forum.

    Best regards :)

    I found the solution ^_^

Once Windows has started, in the taskbar you’ll find VeriFace. A double-click on it opens its main menu. Then on the left, in the "Face Image Registration" tab, click "Edit" :) And follow the instructions.
In fact, you just needed to know that VeriFace is in the taskbar... after that, it’s quite simple ^^
