Hello,
My Epson Perfection 1670 scanner hasn't been working "perfectly" for a few days: the image is white or varying, and I get a message saying there's no document.
This issue occurred three months ago too. I took the scanner to Epson, and they told me it was working fine.
I don't know what the technician did, but that was the case.
The problems have returned despite a complete uninstallation. I've tested it on three different PCs.
I suspected a port problem, but that shouldn't be the case on three PCs.
Could it be possible that the scanner could get misconfigured after being connected to a bad port?
Let me explain: if an external hard drive wasn't properly disconnected and the scanner is then connected to the same port, could it get "polluted"?
In fact, I don't know what to do.
Thank you for your advice.

Hello,
I just fixed the same problem.
I reinstalled Epson Scan with the scanner unplugged (power supply + USB cable)
Then rebooted, plugged in the power supply and waited for the green light to stop blinking (reset phase?)
Then plugged in the USB cable.
My scanner is scanning again, no more blank pages (Phew!)
I hope this helps you.-
Hello,
I hope your solution works, but I think the problem comes from the capacitors.
Despite having performed the same manipulation, I found myself faced with this issue again.
I unplugged the device, and after some time (days in this case), the scanner started working again. Now I only plug it in when needed. I believe Epson must know the solution but is reluctant to respond.
Best regards
