Then continue until the detector has no more "energy," then go recharge it at the boiler room and (in the boiler room) add fuel because it must be running low after recharging your detector.
Next, save your game and resume it on THURSDAY from 8 AM to 4 PM. Go to the boiler room (always on Thursday between 8 AM and 4 PM) and there is a mechanics point! I had only 1 mechanics point, I repeated that and I always found the mechanics points in the boiler room with all these steps!
