I'm trying to find out which department has the phone prefix starting with 03 68.

I searched the internet but couldn't find anything!

It's clear, this list is nonsense!!
There are no 03 59 or 03 62 in the North (even though 59 is the department number of the North and 62 is for Pas-de-Calais).
It has nothing to do with it.
In my North, we have 0327 or 0321 ...
I don't know who wrote this list, but it's crap...

Just a simple clarification, the 03 59 or 03 62 are indeed prefixes assigned to the North, Nord Pas-de-Calais (59 + 62),
the telephone prefixes being exclusively assigned by the Regulatory Authority for Posts and Telecommunications and they themselves provide this information on their website, it would certainly be wiser to consider this information as valid... These prefixes are part of the last update from August 2008.

Hello everyone!
I doubt our area codes are formed that way... For example, in the Compiègne area, it's 03-44... I don't quite see where this 44 comes from... the numbers for our departments are 60; 80; 02... I've checked, I don't live near Nantes ;)

If I remember correctly from my classes, for landline phone numbers:

the first two digits correspond to a telephone region.
01: Paris region, 02: North West, 03: North East, 04: South West, and 05 for the South East

The next two numbers generally correspond to the local tax district of France Télécom

The following two numbers corresponded to the local telephone exchange code.
