VGA controller

Hello,

I need your help! I'm calling all good souls to me!^^

My problem:
I had to reinstall Windows XP Home on my laptop after a forced format.
But since then, the sleep function is no longer accessible and web pages and videos are lagging.
I looked up on the internet and found out it might be due to my graphics card.

Anyway, I downloaded Everest and discovered that I have an ATI Mobility Radeon 7500. Then I downloaded something called "catalyst" and when I tried to install it..." error inf"
I looked up again on the internet and learned that I need to go to the device manager and update the driver for the video controller (VGA compliant) that appears with a big question mark.
I don't have a CD and when I connect to the internet, it can't find the driver.

What should I do? Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks in advance

Seb
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0
