Booting antivirus from a bootable CD

Hello,

a virus has infected my laptop and prevents me from logging into Windows (XP PRO).
I do not have the XP CD, and the manufacturer (Dell) offers to send it to me for a fee.

I think the solution is to be able to run the appropriate antivirus (here MSNFIX) from a bootable CD, and thus clean the PC.

Could someone explain the step-by-step procedure to me, please? (after consulting some topics in this forum, it's quite fuzzy for me, especially the Linux aspects...).

Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Windows XP PRO Internet Explorer 6.0

use a bootable cd: ULTIMATE BOOT CD to burn in iso format and boot the computer from this cd and not from the hard drive

to boot from the cd:

ultimate boot cd

after loading ultimate boot cd the main menu appears, you need to press F4 to access the antivirus, choose one by pressing F1 or F2 or F3 or F4.

be careful, the system will offer to activate NTFS file system support very often used by windows: it's the sixth dialog window and you only have a few seconds to react! at that moment you need to press a key, navigate with the arrow keys to the [] zone and press space, then go to OK and press enter. the antivirus launches without using windows so no crashes
