Hello,
1) Install BSPlayer (a very good DivX player that is less resource-intensive than WMP): http://www.bsplayer.org/
2) Install DivX codec 3.11, then the latest DivX codec, and then the XviD codec (latest stable binary!!): http://roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml.
3) Watch your DivX with BSPlayer (preferably enjoying a good beer with chips). -
For me, I wanted to watch a Word training CD and the video didn't work, I needed a decompressor
