Cyclo ds evolution installation

Hello,

I just bought a Cyclo DS Evolution.

I downloaded the program on my computer from http://ww1.cyclopsds.com to retrieve the file "update.evo".
So far, everything is working well.

Then, I am asked to copy the name of this file "to the root"??
Where should I copy this file? And how?

When I try to insert the USB key with the micro DS into a USB port on my computer, nothing happens.
I get no message indicating that a new device is recognized (when I insert a regular USB key, I do get a message at the bottom of my screen).

Am I doing something wrong or do I have a problem with the USB adapter?

I tried it on another laptop, without any more success.

Thank you for your help! My daughter is getting impatient; she wants to play games with her Nintendo DS.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

      Hi,

Go to http://blog.pimentoo.com then to the Download Center, download the installation files in the CycloDS Evolution directory. And see if there's a tutorial that has been released.
The installation files are secure and updated. However, there is no beta version.

Yep, they sell them too. There is access via the blog on "Online shop" or here: http://www.pimentoo.com/cyclods-evolution.html

Unfortunately, there's no tutorial on Pimentoo, but since I see that not many people have responded to the question, I'll take it upon myself.
"At the root" simply means that you place the files you unzipped directly on the memory card, without creating a folder. You format your microSD card and then you extract the files directly onto your card.
It should work! Plus, there's no clone, which makes things simpler...

The link points to an outdated kernel now (it's normal since 2008).

Thanks for the info, I bought it there too. Can't complain about the quality of the card and the shop.
And to think that some people buy DSi :p

Hello, I have a problem with the Cyclo DS Evolution card; it glitches just when I turn it on and yet there aren't many games on it. Do you have a solution?

I think your problem with Anonyme is that you need to reinstall the firmware update.evo at the root for it to work. I had the same problem with mine, and it works now.
And for Maryline, certain microSDs do not work properly with the key provided by Team Cyclo, like those made in Taiwan. Instead, choose a card reader for microSD and prefer the Kingston and SanDisk brands made in Japan. And to install the update.evo, placing it at the root means putting it directly in the drive, not in a folder.

People aren't going to help you if you yell at them :)

Have you tried installing the CycloDS Evolution Firmware v1.57?

You had a problem adapting it because I've had one for a year
and it works well. Or maybe you didn’t do the process correctly: put your micro SD in your DS
with the chip, obviously; when you put it in, it appears in the DS menu, select CycloDS Evolution, then wait for it to load and then turn on the DS, then put the chip from the USB key. If it doesn't work, it's because you got scammed.
