Hello, I started playing GTA San Andreas on PC and I found that on https://www.grandtheftauto.fr/, I can download all kinds of objects like vehicles or weapons. I thought that was really great, but it turns out that after downloading them, I can't get them into the game. If someone could tell me how to do that, it would be really cool.

I can help you, I'm a pro at installing vehicles or other things on San Andreas. The problem is, you need to be a good programmer to understand... To get started, I recommend downloading this:

It automatically installs most cars (not all), and if it doesn't work, you can uninstall the installed vehicle.

The best thing to do is to learn how to do it manually by reading the <<read me="">> file that comes with the downloaded file.

Here’s how to proceed in summary:

Step 1

- Extract the archive you just downloaded.
- In each folder, you should have at least two files, files ending with .dff and others with .txd
- Create a folder where you will put all your downloaded cars. - Go to the file where you installed your game (default: C:/Program Files/Rockstar Games/GTA San Andreas)
- Copy the gta3.img file and paste it into the directory containing your previously created cars.
- This way you have a backup of your gta3.img file in case of error.

Step 2

- Download ImgTool
- Extract the archive you just downloaded
- Click on IMG Tool 2.0 FR to open the software
- Then click on open and go to the directory where GTA is installed (default: C:/Program Files/Rockstar Games/GTA San Andreas)
- Then open the gta3.img file (the one in the previous folder and not the one we backed up)
- You should see lines appear; do not touch them
- Go to Edit/Search
- In the folder of your new vehicle, look for the names of the files and then type the names of these files into the search (for example: if your file is called banshee.dff and banshee.txd, first type banshee.dff into the search)
- Once this is done, your file will be highlighted
- Right-click on this file and then click on replace
- Choose the .dff file in the folder of the car you want to install
- Do exactly the same for the .txd file. Your vehicle is installed, but the installation is not done yet. Well, if the car is a Porsche and has the characteristics of a 206.

Step 3

- Open the readme.txt (or Lisez_moi.txt) file found in the folder of the downloaded car.
- Check if this file contains lines: carcols.dat, vehicle.ide or handling.cfg
- If it contains these lines, continue this tutorial
- If it does not contain them, it may contain files specific to this vehicle
- If it contains other lines with file names, continue this tutorial
- If it does not contain any others, you can stop there. - Then go into the folder where your game is installed, then into the data folder (make a copy of this data folder before any changes)
- If the readme contains handling.cfg, do this:
- Copy the line below handling.cfg
- Open the handling.cfg file
- Go to the line corresponding to your vehicle (tip: press Ctrl + F and type the name of the vehicle)
- Replace the line in the handling.cfg file with the one in readme.txt
- If the readme contains vehicles.ide, do this:
- Copy the line below vehicles.ide
- Open the vehicles.ide file which is also in the data folder
- Also find the line where your vehicle is to replace (tip: press Ctrl + F and type the name of the vehicle)
- And also replace this line with the one in readme.txt
- If the readme contains carcols.dat
- Copy the lines below carcols.dat
- Open the carcols.dat file which is also in the data folder
- Find the line where your vehicle is to replace (tip: press Ctrl + F and type the name of the vehicle)
- And replace this line with the one found in the readme
- If the readme contains carmods.dat
- Open the carmods.dat file which is in the data folder
- Find the line where the vehicle to be replaced is
- Replace this line with the one found in the readme

So here's what you need to do:  - First, download https://www.grandtheftauto.fr/downloads/c6,fichiers-outils.php  - Launch it and then go to File>Open>Your Hard Drive (HDD)>Program Files>Rockstar Games>GTA SA>Models>gta3.img (if you installed it by default)  - Then go to Edit>Find>oldgarage_sfse.txd  - Select it (right click>Extract) and put it in a different directory than GTA SA (this allows you to make a backup in case of problems)  - Then delete oldgarage_sfse.txd (right click>Delete)  - Add the oldgarage_sfse.txd file you downloaded (you need to extract the download with WinRAR)

Hello,  1. Go to the site http://www.gtasa.fr/download.php?act=view&id=1853 Download the file into your GTA folder and install it. This way, you'll have version 1.0 of GTA San Andreas. Then create a new folder and name it NOMGTA; in this folder, you'll put everything you download for San Andreas, including cars trucks motorcycles .... and put the downloaded files inside  2. Next, go to the site http://www.gtasa.fr/download.php?a [...] gory&id=15 Here you'll find plenty of cars to download; download one, and be careful as it always says which car it replaces—you need to remember that to continue..  3. Now go to the site http://www.gtasa.fr/download.php?act=view&id=572 and download the MOD INSTALLER program. Download it and put it in your GTA folder, then install it.  4. Now open the program (MOD INSTALLER) and click on install a mod; then there are two lines—choose the 2nd one and click on (Browse). A window will open where you select the folder and the car you want to add, then click open. Then click continue. There you'll see 3 lines that say HALDING VEHIQLE IDE LINE CAR COLORS Don't touch anything there, or you might mess it up; this is for those who understand how to change the color and model of the car (I don't understand it either). Just click continue then you'll see a list of all the car names; click the one you need to replace and at the top, put the name like this: BMW Ferrari ...then click install and you’re done; do the same with the other cars and that’s it.  A little tip: don’t download cars rated below 16/20 because the graphics are not great.  And if you want to remove a car, open the MOD INSTALLER program click uninstall a mod; at the bottom, there’s a list of car names you’ve added; select the one you want to remove and click uninstall, and the car you downloaded will be gone.  This mod only works to add cars.

(also install Microsoft Network 1.1 when it asks you!) and then download the cars you want to add (I use gta san andreas-fr.net) Then start the program, click on "install a mod" and look at the bottom, click on "browse" and open the car file: it will then ask you to click on ok and there will be a list: this is the list of all the cars from San Andreas. Choose a car (most of the time the program takes the appropriate car, but sometimes you have to do it manually because some cars are made to replace cars that don’t match their style (I found a Volvo V40 - station wagon - that replaced a utility van! Or a Clio that replaced a sports car!) and click on ok to finalize! And it's done!! Ok thanks. By the way, my game crashes during the mission where we see Smoke and Ryder with the Ballas and where you have to save Sweet in the parking lot... Once all the Ballas are killed, the cops show up and everything just stops, error report, etc.... Anyway, the game closes every time. Can you help me please?! I'll tell you my problem: Well, I installed a car (Peugeot 207) and I replaced the ambulance with it. But when I want to uninstall the Peugeot, it shows me something in English and the files are named ambulan.txd and ambulan.dff (something like that) ^^  Can you help me because I can no longer play San Andreas because the bar stops in the middle u_u  Thanks in advance :)         PS: It didn't work even before putting in the Peugeot, because I had tested other cars. Patalkok, you are simply a piece of shit and not a pro, because I have the solution for people  I've been trying to install it for almost 2 years, I had never succeeded, and it was simply by reinstalling my PC with Win XP SP2 that I installed GTA S.A first with SAMI 1.1, and it works perfectly. It's simply a program on your PC that needs .NET Framework 2.0, which blocks SAMI's access to modify the vehicles in the game.  I can't tell you which programs install .NET Framework 2.0, but try it on an unused hard drive with either XP - VISTA - SEVEN in a pirated version with a pirated activation; don't do this with your original ;) Then install GTA SA with SAMI 1.1, and after that, take the cars, modify them, and boom, it works.  After that, reinstall one program at a time and test each time to see if GTA SA works. When it gets blocked, you'll see which program is blocking it, and you won't install that one.  It takes patience, I know, but that's the only way to see. If I'm clear, let me know.
