Hi,
I'm quickly presenting the problem...
I'm doing an internship as a computer developer that ends in a month (... not even... in 3 weeks now), and I have to submit an internship report of about twenty to thirty pages...
And since I've ended up in a company where interns are left to fend for themselves, I have no idea how to go about it... I absolutely need help..
So if anyone has a good report on development (PHP, MySQL, etc.) to share or a website where I can find one "for free"... don't hesitate... I will owe you one
thanks

Ok! Here are the main points that I retained from what my internship supervisor told me a year ago:
<illegible block>
1 -> impeccable presentation:
- cover with the intern's name, the company's name, the name of the internship supervisor and the tutor, and ABOVE ALL, the SUBJECT!
- back cover: a little famous quote, or a semblance of a summary (in French and English for us!)
2 -> a table of contents:
- detailed, readable, WITH page numbers!
3 -> acknowledgments
4 -> a substantial introduction:
it is not about recounting the internship but rather about providing the context: why this report, under what conditions...
5 -> the work context:
very important! Don't forget that you've been in the company for a few weeks and that for you (in principle) everything is clear and known (even the internet if I understood correctly ;-)), but those who will read your report certainly know nothing about what you did...
6 -> specifications:
especially: COMPLETE
7 -> implementation:
explain how you went about respecting (or not) the specifications
8 -> a review
9 -> a conclusion
10 -> appendices if needed
After that, you can adjust the various parts (put the acknowledgments at the end, group each element of the specifications with its implementation...)
It must be readable, airy, with NUMBERED PAGES, without errors (very poorly viewed as a lack of seriousness!), and with as few spelling mistakes as possible.
As an anecdote, I did my report in less than half a week (Monday evening to Thursday noon, without any nights!) and I got 12.
I remind you that this report must really be accessible to everyone (it is not a technical report (to be done too!)). Your mother must be able to understand everything in one reading! (it is also not a manual!)

Hello,
I also have to prepare a specifications document for my study project. (DU Design & Maintenance of Company Websites)
Here's a framework for the presentation of my specifications document:
0) Cover.
(If your company has a logo or pictogram, use it to create the cover of your internship report or specifications document, as well as the CD cases or others...)
I) Acknowledgments
(I thank Mr. Dupont for his support and the cleaning lady...
BUT ALSO THANK YOUR TRAINING ORGANIZATION AND YOUR TEACHERS. DON’T FORGET THAT IF YOU FORGET TO MENTION THEM, THEY WON’T FORGET YOU, BELIEVE ME, lol ;-)
II) Introduction:
1) The specifications document: (1)+ (2)+ (3) = at least 20 pages)
a) The context
- Presentation of the company's structure
- Why one website? (Develop the needs)
b) Existing (what was in place before I arrived)
c) Needs analysis (the desires, wishes regarding this)
2) Presentation of solutions and reasoned choices.
(In relation to the needs analysis, the presentation of solutions... answers the questions in c) needs analysis)
3) Presentation of the site
(Mockup, site structure, the different pages...)
III) Conclusion
(Summary related to the whole)
IV) Numbered Appendices
There you go, I hope I have helped someone. If you find your project long and boring to do, I suggest you take it step by step and not all at once, and tell yourself I AM NO DUMBER THAN ANYONE ELSE, I WILL DO IT DAMMIT
If you really don’t want to do it, my fee is €100/hour lol

Ah well, for the 15 lines:
I thank
The Boss of the Company
I also thank
The Boss's secretary of the Company
I also want to thank
The director of the Accounting Department
I do not forget to thank
The secretary of the Accounting Department director
It means a lot to me to thank
The internship supervisor
I find it important to thank
My tutor
I offer thanks to the
Boss of the company who provides the paper
It seems obvious to thank
the director of my training
finally, I thank myself.
And here are 17 lines of thanks.

I want to clarify what you said:
Given the reception that has been given to doomam, I prefer to refrain.
Doomam was poorly received because his question is:
If anyone has a good resource on development (php, mysql, etc.) to share with me or a site where I can find it "for free"... don't hesitate...
And we won't do that...
However, we will gladly lend a hand if you have any "questions"...

A little more seriously, you can extend the number of lines
by expressing how the thanks are not given lightly,
for example, for the help provided, the advice, the hospitality, and so on.

frankly, I was here to learn but maybe
I'll go crazy.. or a little
but you are tough with dommam
listen, dommam, you can always buy books or look up on
www.google.fr
for those who seek thanks, you must first
look for politeness
but.. I won't hide from you that I had a good laugh.. reading your
comments..

I am also doing an internship; one tip for the thank-you notes is to specify what each person contributed during your internship. Good luck!
But you don't understand anything, it's impossible!
You're not 12 anymore, we're not talking about handing in a math test, we're talking about a synthesis paper! Think about it, in 2 months you'll be in the working world... when your boss asks you to put together a project, what are you going to do? Beg for someone else's work? DAMN IT!
You need to get moving a bit, you’re supposed to be adults! It’s over with middle school and cowardly excuses, now it’s the real world!

You're a copyright hotshot, my guy, do you think I'm going to reinvent the wheel every time someone asks me for something that's already out there?
For your information, I'm preparing a degree in Networks and Multimedia Services, so for your math summary (what's the point of that subject again?), I don't see the context.
If you're as good at yelling as you are at making a report, well, offer your services instead of grumbling like a singularis porcus.
Well, I need to get back to my copy/paste, have a good day and tone down your anger.

Well... If he comes out of 3 months of intensive surfing on the net, the report is going to be tough. Especially if it has to talk about PHP, MySQL...
But we need to keep hope. Maybe a report will just fall into his hands, all fresh and warm.

I am in a business DUT, I have done several reports but I always mess up when it comes to making a proper assessment. What exactly should I include in it? If it helped me, my new skills, the relationship with a professional future?
Currently doing the same internship as Dooman, I was hoping to find a pre-made "template report," but oh well, I guess I'll type it out with my little hands and thank the big jokers on the forum. But I want to remind everyone that copy/pasting is not a crime but a source of inspiration; I have no idea what to put in my report since I'm not a virtuoso of French, and recounting three and a half months of programming isn't the most exciting. Between programming errors, brutal MySQL queries, and additional work (phone calls, client outings, etc.), I don't know where to start. Maybe a "Once upon a time..." Courage DOOMAN, you'll get your report!
Hey tlmmmmmm!!
I have 3 days left to finish my internship report, but basically I need to work on my study theme (client follow-up) and yes I'm doing accounting and there's really nothing on the net, but it's okay I'll try to manage unless someone can help me!! Ciaoooo chatters and long live internships but not the reports

I'm in the same boat as you, but I'm staying positive!!
I have some advice for you!!:
You should have gathered information day by day during your internship!!
You still have time to write your report, otherwise if you're not motivated, just repeat a year.
That's life, you're not going to die from it!!

Hi, I just saw the messages.
They were really harsh with you!!! I hope it was for your report. I'm also in the same situation as you. Report on cashier at Castorama due in a few days. It's a mess!!!!!
If you need anything, send a message to hottincindy@yahoo.es. On my side, I don't have anything regarding IT. Sorry!!! If you had any info about Castorama France (DIY company) or if they finally gave you a ready-made internship report...
Bye

That’s a great response that will help me know a bit more about which direction to take.
I think there are many students here for whom this seems obvious, but I don't even have a high school diploma, and until 16 months ago I had never touched a computer, so for me an internship report is something completely unknown, I have never seen one up close, so just think about it, making one!!
