[COUNTER STRIKE SOURCE] Version Issue

Hello,

So, I display the server list in the game itself and then when I try to connect, it tells me <<your version="" is="" not="" compatible="" with="" the="" servers="">> and before that it told me <<your version="" does="" not="" match="" the="" servers="" please="" restart="" game="">> in English before I switched it to French. I think they want me to update it. Can someone explain how to update the game please, with or without Steam?

    For the non-Steam version of CSS, you need to have
    1) patch v16
    2) patch v17
    3) patch v18
    but I think it's fine, we just install 16 and 17
    look for them on Google or you can find them at DZ (Digital Zone)...

    As soon as I want to play on a server, it says "your version is not compatible, restart the game." I downloaded and installed it from a website, and I have properly installed the v16 comprehensive DZ patch / v17 DZ patch / v18 DZ patch and finally version 19 to try. I tried CSS every time I finished installing them, but I always get the same result :( please help me!

    Are you sure you have CS Source, because with Steam updates are done automatically and there are no paths to install. Otherwise, it means you are trying to connect to servers that have a version that is lower than yours.

    Well, you go to the shortcut! Then you click on it, you go to properties, then you enter compatibility, you change the options, or you have to buy a graphics card. It works for me; I recommend GEFORCE Nvidia!!

    Yes, I'm sure, when the game starts it says Counter-Strike Source and it works with HL2, is it in the "console" that the update starts? How does that work? And can we do that manually?

    In Steam, you have the "My Games" tab, there is Counter-Strike: Source, when it is updated and ready to be used, it says 100% ready. Otherwise, next to it, you have "updates" and you can click to see, but normally it happens automatically. Sorry, I can't help you better.

    me too I have this problem but I have Counter Strike Source and I wanted to restart Steam and now it puts me in a white frame and it shows this

    please turn off 'compatibility mode':
    -right-click steam.exe
    -select properties
    -go to the 'compatibility' tab
    -uncheck 'run this application in compatibility mode...'

      Ça faut que tu ailles dans le dossier de Steam, tu cliques droit, propriétés, vas dans l'onglet compatibilité et tu désactives.

    I found the people you need to put the accounting, I don't know which one but I changed it and now I put it back and it works since the error message told me everything (in English but it told me that I had to put back my accounting)
    so try that, I put it on pack 2 and now it works.

      Someone has a link for this problem with the new version when I try to connect to a server it tells me "the server you are trying to connect to is running a newer version of the game." I looked for a new version but couldn't find one, please help me!! Thanks :D
