It displays the number of visitors either in image format or in text format, counts each visitor only once, has no ads or links, and doesn't require any registration!

I propose a text counter if you're interested, and I think it's cooler and simpler and PRO if you want. I have it on one of my sites anyway, it works in PHP and here are the parts:

it might disrupt the functioning of the counter, but why are you looking for trouble?? There are counter solutions that you can directly put on your site in (PHP, ASP, or even HTML) without having the permission of a supplier or needing their service. Search online for (free counter script) if you don't find it, just let me know and I'll give you an example that I use myself on my site.

Yes, it is true that my counter is not too distracting: just one click takes you to the counter provider, no popups or other intrusive ads!
There are still the active links in the header menu made from Flash missing, as well as the photo page I want to create using Jalbum, but I need to change all the code to insert the design of my pages into the photo presentation... still a lot of work ahead!

Ok, I finally managed to get it running. I needed the ".php" extension for it to work..

Actually, I still have 3 questions:

1) In a php file, can I put as much html code as I want? (sorry, I don't know anything about php).

2) Can we modify the font, etc. of the display output by <?php echo $count; ?>

3) If I look at the code of your page http://www.maroctech.ma/, I don't see any trace of php. How is that possible?

For the first question, yes we can include HTML code within PHP code and vice versa, but the most important thing is that in both cases, the file must have the .PHP or .PHP3 extension.
For the second answer, yes we can modify the font and everything, and for more information, I suggest you check out these two links:

As for the third answer, it is perfectly normal that you do not see the PHP code in the source of my pages; PHP is a language that executes on the server side, so what you see as source is only the result of my code and not the code itself. A quick search on Google will suffice to answer all your questions on this subject.
