Mimic a font

Question

Hello,
Is there a method to recreate a typeface from a few words, meaning to create letters that are harmonized with those already present (in a logo for example) using only the few letters from the logo?
For example: I take this logo and I want to create a "C" that is harmonized with the other 4 letters. How could I do that?
Note: I use Fireworks or The Gimp

I found the exact font of the logo: Frutiger Linotype https://www.linotype.com/1270238/frutiger-family.html which is a paid font
but you can use Arial or Myriad Bold which looks a lot like this font, and is also free :p,

Hello, the best thing is to do a search to find the same font as the one used in the logo. The font on the logo looks like Arial "bold." You need to scroll through the fonts in Gimp until you find the same font or a font that is the closest.

Don't worry, I've already looked everywhere but I can't find exactly what I want. That's why I'd like to have a more "handcrafted" technique... Thanks anyway.

a little more artisanal :p so you have to draw the C yourself :p I don't see any other solution, if you have a graphics tablet you can draw on it and then export it to GIMP, if you don't then you can draw on paper / scan it and then trace it in Illustrator or Photoshop using the pen tool (I don't know what its equivalent is in GIMP)

otherwise show me the text you want to imitate, I have a whole range of fonts on my computer and I could probably find something that matches what you're looking for

it's the Arial Bold font :p you must have it  open The GIMP / write the text then select the Arial font?

Thank you very much, I will test Frutiger. It's strange, I had heard that it was this typeface that was used by Muse and I tried it but it didn't match, so I thought it was for the album's writings but not the logo. Apparently it is, but it's because the Frutiger family is very large!

I have the Frutiger Linotype font (I can send it to you if you want), but apparently the font of the logo is more like: Frutiger® Central European 65 Bold or Frutiger® Central European 75 Black :p

I downloaded the entire Frutiger Linotype set, but I can't install some in .pfm, .pfb, or .afm format. I will try all the others a little later. Thank you

Hello

Another solution is Inkscape (vector graphics) and you vectorize the text (Path > Object to Path) and then you modify it with the Node Editing tool (the second tool in the toolbox).

Since it's vector, you can do whatever you want with it, including exporting.
