Metin 2 connection problem

Hello,
I downloaded Metin 2 and installed it, but every time I launch it, a window opens (METIN II AUTO PATCH) and it takes a super long time to load. Can someone tell me what I should do?
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 2.0.0.12

    Salut, j'ai un problème lors de la connexion. Quand je dois mettre le pseudo et le mot de passe, à chaque fois que je me connecte, ça marque block_login et pourtant je me suis enregistré sur le site. Merci de me répondre vite.

      C'est super simple, Rammstein. Tu le désinstalles complètement, au pire tu crées une session qui ne tourne pas sous Windows 7 et tu le réinstalles.

      Now when I log onto Metin2, I start playing, then I want to open a shop, so I open another Metin2 window to shop and gain XP at the same time, and just when I click on the window, the PC restarts.

      Srsly, change your graphics card and motherboard at the same time because your card isn't powerful enough for all the colors of Metin2 to be vivid.

    Hello,

    I also have a problem with Metin2: when I launch it, I get "patchserverlist failed (errorcode=SRF12029)". I'm on Vista and I've tried everything you mentioned: reinstalling and "running as administrator", but nothing works, I still get this message. PLEASE GIVE ME A SOLUTION!!!! I REALLY WANT TO TRY METIN2!!!

    Hello, if you have access to the device, go to Start, Computer, Acer, Programs, and search for Metin2 France. Once you find it, copy it and put it on your desktop. After that, click on it and select Metin2 or Patchup. There you go, HAVE FUN :)

    Hello, the auto patch is unable to decompress 2 files: pack/monster.epk.lz and pack:monster2.epk.lz, which means the game works, but the NPCs and mobs have disappeared!!! How can I avoid this problem? Thanks for replying.

      I've got a trick that works every time:
      1. go to metin2_france located in program files
      2. launch the game (metin2.exe)
      3. while the autopatch is running, note the error message
      for me, it was failed to decompress pack/local_fr.epk
      4. go to the error folder, here it's the pack folder and the concerned file local_fr.epk.
      5. delete this file (local_fr.epk for me)
      6. restart the game, the autopatch will re-download the deleted file and the game will work

      Salut, j'ai un problème. J'ai installé Metin 2, le patch se passe bien, etc. Puis je démarre le jeu, mon écran devient tout noir, ça zoom sur mon bureau et le jeu se ferme. Ça m'énerve parce que j'ai essayé Metin chez un pote et j'ai adoré. Donc, merci de me répondre.

      Have you tried right-clicking on the game and running Metin as an administrator, then checking the compatibility for XP?
      By the way, do you have Vista?
      If the screen is black with XP compatibility, it might be that the autopatch didn't work properly; you should try re-downloading the software.

    Hello everyone,
    EUREKA I finally found the solution to open Metin2, it worked for me, I'm sharing it with you:
    For those of you with this problem, for now there is only one "trick" to circumvent this bug (only on Vista):

    Go to C --> Program Files --> Metin2_France folder

    Copy the folder (the entire folder) and paste it on your desktop

    You will see that the icons change, then start the game with the icon metin.exe or metin2fr

    That's it, it should work
    then go click on Computer, then double-click on disk C, then double-click on Metin2 580k, the patch loads and opens Metin2.
    HAVE fun and see you on Metin, my username is dedemf59, give me a shout, it would make me happy.

      I have exactly the same problem as you, but on the Metin2 homepage, the compatibility of Metin on Vista is not up to date, so in my opinion, we should alert the GMs (Game Masters) and ask them if they can fix the compatibility. That's my point of view.

      I'm summarizing the solutions, follow these steps (move on to the next step if the game doesn't work) and post a message if it still doesn't work.
      I recommend downloading Metin2 again from the official site to restart the updates:

      Step 1: Run Metin as administrator
      To run Metin as administrator, right click on the Metin shortcut or the Metin2.exe file (C:/Program file/Metin2_france/metin2.exe) and then choose properties and finally, in the compatibility tab, check "run this program as an administrator".

      Step 2: Place the folder on the desktop
      Place the Metin2_france folder (C:/Program file/Metin2_france) on the desktop using cut and paste and launch the game using Metin2.exe from this directory.

      Step 3: Reset the updates
      1. Go to metin2_france located in program files (or on the desktop).
      2. Launch the game (metin2.exe).
      3. During the autopatch execution, note the error message
      (mine was failed to decompress pack/local_fr.epk).
      4. Go to the folder of the error, here it is the pack folder and the local_fr.epk file that is affected.
      5. Delete this file (local_fr.epk for me).
      6. Restart the game, the autopatch will download the deleted file and the game will work.

      Step 4: Update using XP
      Our last chance is to do the updates on another computer that does not have Vista.
      For this, you need a USB drive (minimum 1Go) and a computer with XP (you can do this at friends’ or even at "high school").
      Cut and paste (or copy and paste as you want) the metin2_france folder to your USB, then plug the USB into XP and launch the game, the update should go well but if it does not start: the network is blocked.
      Reconnect the USB to Vista, place the folder where you took it and launch the game.
      For me it worked well and additionally, I have Vista.


      I hope I have helped you, if the updates went well but the game does not start, you should also check your graphics card.
      Also, you don't have to do all these steps, you can try directly step 4.
