Excel: The Mouse is Acting Crazy!

Help, the mouse in Excel (only) selects the cells below as soon as I move the mouse. Exactly like if I was holding down the SHIFT key at the same time.

And yet I just launched Excel. And restarted it 10 times.

Does anyone have advice or aspirin?

I just had the same problem, I solved it by holding down the central mouse button (SCROLL) for a long time.

I believe it's a universal solution ^^! Problem solved for me too thanks to this method. It's funny how it can still be useful even more than a year later :P

Hello,
I have the same problem. Excel (2003) was working fine before this. Now, as soon as I click anywhere, Excel behaves as if I haven't released the mouse button and gets stuck on the current action (cell selection, sheet movement). Therefore, it's impossible to use the program. I hope someone has a solution.

I noticed the same problem. However, Antivirus and Spybot didn't yield any results. Have you already found a solution?

Hello,
I couldn't find any way to solve the problem. But I bought the latest version of Excel, and it doesn't happen anymore. Maybe just uninstalling and reinstalling the software would help...

Yep, hi everyone
For your mouse issue, go check in your computer's device manager and see if there are any conflicts between the drivers, like question marks in front of the driver names or something like that.
