Hello,
I was just given the QPDPF10 digital photo frame from QPS, but I can't read any photos; the manual is useless.
I HAVE AN Olympus camera with several Fujifilm XD cards. If I put the cards directly into the frame, it finds nothing; connecting the camera directly is no better!!!
Can someone help me? I'm very disappointed that I can't use the gift my children gave me!
Thank you for your help

Hello,
I was just given the QPDPF10 digital photo frame from QPS, and indeed the manual is more than brief.
I'm encountering two other issues.
The first is that when the photo is in portrait orientation, I use a Windows software to rotate it and save my file. Then I copy it onto my USB stick or the SD card to put into the frame. When viewing the photos in thumbnail mode, the orientation is correct. However, when I start the automatic playback in normal operation, the photos revert to their original orientation.
I can't find a solution to this problem. Otherwise, there are these options:
Either someone stays in front with the remote control in hand, or they turn the frame as needed during viewing, or we avoid this kind of photos but.:-)!!!... all these solutions are not satisfactory :-)!!!
The second issue is, on the remote control, there is a button called "slide." What is it for? It's not explained in the manual, the salespeople don't know either, and I found nothing on the website. I'm calling for help from the happy owners of this digital frame who have managed to get it working and use all its features.
Thank you for your help. -
Hello,
Indeed, I'm having big problems with this photo frame. The instructions are brief and incomprehensible.
I accidentally managed to get a slideshow to display, and then to a slideshow with music, but I don't know how
to reproduce it!! I used a USB drive.
The QSPmultimedia website is giving a 404 error! So this frame does work, but
if anyone has information on a proper user manual, please let us know.
Thank you. -
Hi,
I’m not an expert in the field, but I have a few ideas that I want to share with you.
Are the cards used by the camera compatible with the frame? (if the camera uses XD like yours but the frame can only read SDs for example, it will never work).
Could a visit to the manufacturer's website for the frame provide you with more information about how the frame works?
A user manual is generally never useless, but incomplete. So where does the problem lie with yours? What useful information do you feel is missing?
See you! -
The manual is very general and does not describe the different steps for use. There are even some steps that I don't understand; I must not be very skilled! For example: Memory selection menu, there are several icons, you need to select one, but I don't know what it corresponds to, then?
-
I forgot to tell you that I went to the qpsmultimedia.com website, but I didn't even see the description of this device, so let's not even talk about the manual? As for the XD and SD cards, that might indeed be the problem, how can we know?
-
Okay, I'll try to help you with the means at hand.
In general, a digital photo frame works by inserting the camera's card into the designated slot.
Then you turn on the frame and that's it. (It may be that the frame starts up automatically when inserting the card)
You may indeed need to select which memory source you are using (in your case, the camera if you connect it or direct memory card if you insert it) because your frame doesn't know what the information you are sending to it is stored on, so you need to tell it.
To try to find with you which source to select on your frame, tell me what your icons look like in your memory selection?

Logically, your notice should clearly state which cards are accepted by the frame.
But please briefly describe what your icons look like as that could certainly guide me.
Thank you

Well, here we are and I'm going to be able to help you.
The cards that can be directly read by your frame are the indicated models (SD/MMC; MS and CF)
If you want to connect your frame via USB, you need to select USB.
As for MEMORY, I'm torn between whether this function supports reading the card in the camera (camera connected to the PC with memory card inside) or if it only allows reading any other memory card than the previously mentioned ones, or if it is simply a function of the frame to view what is in memory.
So try selecting USB to start by connecting your camera to your frame. (just to see if it works)
If not, try checking MEMORY to see what it tells you.
If neither works, it means that the card used by your camera is not compatible with your frame.
In that case, if your camera accepts one of the cards mentioned by the frame, opt for purchasing one of those, otherwise it won't work.
See you! -
Great, I tried with the camera, it works! But not with the card!
Thank you very much for your help!! -
No problem.
Still try to check the manual of your camera to see if you have the option to use one of the compatible cards with the frame. It doesn't hurt to try and might eventually help solve your problem for good.
Happy holidays.
See you later. -
Thank you again! I will inquire about the camera card.
Happy New Year's Eve and happy New Year 2008! -
Hello,
We have this frame at home, and the manual is indeed very brief!!
For your information, this frame does not read XD cards directly; you will need to buy an XD card to Compact Flash adapter (around twenty euros for the cheaper ones) or to USB. This product is rare in stores because the XD format is fading away; I recommend finding one online (I found some on the Surcouf website at reasonable prices).
Good luck and enjoy watching photos... -
Hello
I just bought a DV Tech DP70 digital frame, nothing works except for the flowers that are already installed, which are very pretty by the way, but still!!
I insert my USB stick and it says "loading photos" and nothing happens, HELP!!!! If anyone has a miracle solution, I thank you in advance, because the user manual really doesn't help me at all

Good evening,
For Grisou 72
SLIDE allows for a slideshow with music.
On the USB stick, 2 files
one in MP3
one in JPEG photos
We view the photos, then..
We listen to the sound
If we press "Slide," we get photos and music.
Did not find any other information.. I am looking

I confirm: the manual is useless, the interface is useless, when you set the language to French, there is still plenty of text in English, and the QPS Multimedia website says nothing about this product (are they ashamed?)... Does anyone know how to access the internal memory of this frame using the USB PC cable provided? By the way, how much internal memory is there?
-
Hello
I completely agree with you. This frame should be removed from sale until there is a correct instruction manual.
I noticed that on some sites, there was a companion CD. I don't have it and don't know where to find it,
since the QPS site seems to be under construction....
I regret this purchase, which was interesting in price.... but when nothing seems to work, it’s
almost a scam.
If any user or sales site has more information, I thank them in advance for providing us with more details.

Hello,
I’m getting back to the topic.
I have a suggestion for you, and although it seems silly since you’ve probably already thought of it, I’ll propose it anyway because you seem more than annoyed.
Could your problem be related to a poor choice in acquiring the photos through the frame?
For example, for Cococh, there were the following choices, and by taking the right one, she succeeded.
SD/MMc
MS
CF
USB
MEMORY
That’s it. Hoping to have pointed you towards a solution.
Best regards.

Thank you, Kokliko, for your advice.
I managed, through trial and error with a USB key, to achieve an almost satisfactory result, as you can read in my previous messages. I haven't tried using a memory card yet. But achieving something is purely by chance.
And there are functions (clock, for example, or AVI video...) that seem possible, but there's no instructions in the appalling manual provided.
That's the problem. In fact, one has to create their own manual when they achieve a result in order to be able to replicate it.
The product does work, that's true, but we don't know how.
I find that unacceptable.
Everyone who is struggling with this frame simply asks for a user manual that explains all the possibilities in a coherent and detailed manner, which is not the case at all.
Thank you again.

I understand. Could you please give me a brief summary of the information from your manual regarding the operation (of course)? You never know, it might give me some ideas and perhaps a solution to propose to you.
If you have buttons on your frame, would it be possible for you to provide their names in case that rings a bell?
I know it's a lot to ask, but I'm only trying to help you with my modest skills, and having this information might spark something that doesn't come to mind right away.
(I say this because if cocoh (sorry for the typo in my previous post) hadn't given me the description of the modes (usb, sd, memory,...) I would never have been able to help him properly).
