Wii u with French games

Hello,
I have a Wii console purchased in the USA!
And I have Wii games bought in France! Brand new games!
What should I do to make this work... help, I don't know anything about it!
Do I need to buy that thing that "regions unlocks" or a freeloader?

    Hello.
    The first message of this thread was written in December 2007. At that time, the only way to play games from a different region was to install a modchip. Since the beginning of March 2008, a freeloader has been released that allows you to play games from any region on any console.
    You can buy it on Play-Asia, which is secure and fast.
    Please note that the freeloader is available in three versions (EURO, USA, JAPAN) for the different console versions.

      Can someone bring me a Wii from Hong Kong? I would like to know if it's an English or Japanese version of the Wii so I don't accidentally download the wrong freeloader.
      Is this method really safe for playing French games on foreign consoles, or does it have issues? I don't want to end up with a console I can't play on.
      One last question: Could there be compatibility issues with accessories?

        The principle is simple: you insert your US freeloader into the US Wii (stripes appear), eject your freeloader
        and put in your French disc and everything works.

      Hello, it is indeed possible to play imported games from any region, provided that you unlock your console with a chip. Hardware modification of an object we own is allowed in France. However, playing copies of games is prohibited. In your case, it's fine since you are simply looking to play an imported game (original game).

      so, for your information, all Wii games are region-locked... meaning they can only work with the Wii console from the same region... European Wii games with the European Wii console, US Wii games with the US Wii console, and Asian Wii games with the Asian Wii console!
      impossible to unlock the region!
      or to do some silly trick that you might see described on certain forums!
      you only have the option to sell your game online! Make sure to specify that it's a US game, there are buyers interested!
      you can also make a proposal to "valochfull" who left a post on this same forum, a little higher up, in this same section! He might not have the game you have yet... and he has a US Wii console! lol!

    Hello,
    I bought a US game and controllers in NY. The US game obviously doesn't work on my European Wii (I didn't know that before buying it) and I'm considering buying the freeloader. I've seen that there are several versions. What should I pay attention to, and will this freeloader still read US games purchased in 2/3 years?
    As for the controllers, I haven't unpacked them because the packaging states that they only work in the US. Are the transmission standards to the console different in the US??? Your opinion on whether this could work on my European Wii, thanks.

        The new prices are:

        Wii + 1 Wiimote + Wii Sports = 250 euros
        2nd Wiimote = 35 euros
        2 Nunchuks = 40 euros
        Sword and shield + saber = 20 euros
        8 games = 50 euros per game = 400 euros

        That sums up to about 750 euros for the Wii + new games and accessories

        The second-hand price would be -35%, so 480 euros in total... the price is high because there are a lot of games, so the price remains negotiable...

    I am selling the WII game "GT Pro Series" purchased last week in the US. My son's WII is a European version and refuses to play the game.
