Suspended line the lost phone still rings

Hello

I lost my mobile phone yesterday
I asked Nine Telecom to suspend my line; it took them 24 hours to make the suspension effective because they had a technical problem
but my phone still rings and after five or six rings I end up on my voicemail and my welcome message
however Nine Telecom tells me that my line has been suspended and that the thief cannot call or receive calls:
Nine Telecom is sending me another SIM card
I filed a theft report; but I'm not sure that my line suspension was carried out.
How can I verify?
How can I proceed, please help me

    Suspended does not mean cut. He is playing with words and it's a bit disgusting, excuse me. Anyway, send them the complaint as soon as possible so that they can do what is necessary. Good luck.

    In fact, Neuf has a computer bug; they have been unable to suspend my line for 2 days, even though the suspension should be immediate.
    I have a subscription with a 24-month commitment; do you think I can terminate due to their fault for not respecting the contractual terms?

    They tell me that my line is under suspension: when I dial the number, it rings several times before going to voicemail? Can the person who stole the phone use it... or does being under suspension mean currently suspended?

    It's suspended but not necessarily cut off. Cut off means the line doesn't work anymore. Suspended = not cut off. Leave it on hold if you want, that's why the line keeps working even though it shouldn't. Anyway, try calling from your mobile to see if the line is actually suspended and therefore cut off. If you can't do it from your mobile, then it's good, it's really suspended, so no worries. Yes, sorry, you lost your phone, so it's true you can't call from your mobile. I'm sorry, I said something silly.

    When I call from another phone to my mobile, if it rings, it means the line is still functioning and that someone can use it: Neuf is sending me a SIM card. How can you have a number with two SIM cards on two different phones?
    Unless the line continues to ring with Neuf even when it's suspended and no one can use it; when a phone is off, you go straight to voicemail.
    Neuf told me last night that it's suspended and that even if it rings, it's normal
    This morning, they told me something different; what should I do?

    No, you can very well suspend the outgoing line (prevent calls from being made) and deactivate your old SIM card while still allowing calls to come in. This way you won't miss any calls because people can leave you a message.
    The only calls you’ll miss are those that occurred between the loss of your mobile and the suspension.

      When I receive the SIM card, I will install it on an old phone that I have and that was from Orange: can it be used once unlocked?
      The other phone I had was from the operator SFR.
      I am tied to a 24-month contract; I'm tired of it.
