    Bonjour, je voudrais savoir si on peut passer de @live.fr à @hotmail.fr tout en gardant le début de mon adresse mail...?

      No, you cannot switch from live.fr to hotmail.fr. An answer to your question: the difference between hotmail.fr and live.fr is that live is the new version of hotmail. Go to hotmail.fr for more precise answers.

    Thank you for your response, I find that quite unfortunate.

    It's 2013, I'm bringing up the topic again, but since both are under Microsoft, why migrate Hotmail to Live? It would have been enough to improve Hotmail, right? Because an email address is an identifier for a person, while for them it's just software that manages the entries and exits of a database.

    Do we lose our contacts if we switch from Hotmail to Live?

    @naoneo :

    I asked this question to someone on a forum who told me that it was not possible to switch from Hotmail to Live!!

    I wanted to do like you...

    It's for reasons that if the username is already on live.fr or live.com, it's impossible!
