Grayed-out power management mode

Hello,

The power management settings are grayed out, so it's impossible to configure them.

How can I restore these fields to active status?

Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.9

    If the tab is active but its content is greyed out, then do this:

    (click) Start
    (click) Run
    (type) cmd
    (click) OK
    (type) powercfg /RestoreDefaultPolicies
    (press) Enter

    And the problem is solved.

    I allow myself to respond to this "old" unanswered topic because while searching for "Empty power management modes" on Google, I stumbled upon it. :) It turns out the problem is still relevant xD
