JVC car radio issue

Question

Hello,
I have a problem with my JVC car radio. After a year, a message appeared when I was listening to the radio: "0000 IA", and I can't listen to CDs. I have to reset it for the message to disappear and to listen to CDs again.
If anyone knows how to solve this issue, please let me know.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Since I reset my radio, I haven't had any more problems.
The first thing to do is to lower the humidity level in the car; otherwise, the problem will come back
then you have to remove the condensation from the lens; apparently, there are sprays for that,
otherwise, turning the heating up high worked for me,
and to reset the car radio, you remove the front panel and press a paperclip into the small "reset" hole of the unit (just like with calculators).

Hi,
I also have a JVC car radio for a year and I have the same problem as you:
a few weeks ago the radio displayed a similar message when the temperature dropped below 0.
I thought the lens had "frozen", but warming up the car didn't solve the problem.
I haven’t found a solution to the issue; there’s not even a mention of the message in the manual.
However, I’m interested to know how you reset your radio.
If you find (or have found) a way to resolve this issue, let me know.

While searching a little more in the user manual, I found out how to reset it.
Indeed, it resolves the issue, but I don't know yet if it will be permanent or not.
It seems to be a problem with condensation on the lens, and thus humidity in the car.

I also have the same issue
The car radio permanently displays 0000 A
and there's no way to play CDs but the radio works

When I switch to CD, it shows 20000 A or 0000 2A, I can't remember very well
Indeed, this appeared recently with the extreme cold and heavy humidity outside

I will try to take apart the unit to dry it out at home and then reinstall it in the car
I'll keep you updated if it works
Otherwise, I’ll try resetting the unit

As for the warranty, I don’t think it applies, I've had the unit for 3 years and it has never done this before

Salut les gars, moi j'ai fait le reset mais il rejette en permanence mon CD, je comprends pas, c'est trop bizarre du jour au lendemain.

Hi everyone, if the lens gets humidity or dust, the CD won't work. Try to clean the lens with a cleaner or a special sponge for cleaning lenses. You can buy it just once. If it happens again, use heating to evaporate the humidity. Abdo. Morocco
