Unable to receive TF1 TMC and NRJ 12 (DTT) Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,  I live in Haut-Rhin and I've recently been receiving TNT. However, I can receive all the free channels except TF1, TMC, and NRJ 12. Why? I have made several automatic channel searches (I have a Samsung TV with built-in TNT) without success in finding these 3 channels. I then tried manual search by entering channel 65 (which I found on: http://www.telesatellite.com/television-numerique-terrestre/emmeteurs-tnt.pdf) without success as well!  (I am directed towards the Mulhouse transmitter)  So if anyone has any ideas, thank you!Configuration: Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0

I have been receiving TNT since December 15  I have a compatible TNT adapter and a portable antenna  I live near Valenciennes  I receive all channels, even Belgian and German channels, but I cannot receive TF1, TMC, and NRJ12  could you please reply to me as clearly as possible  thank you

Hi  In response to your question, the frequency for TF1 and associated channels is channel 65, 826 MHz on the Mulhouse transmitter. If you manage to fix your problem, keep us updated because I'm stuck. I've tried everything, except maybe calling a professional.  See you!

Here I have the same problem, I cannot receive TF1, TMC, and NRJ12.  Without the TNT receiver plugged in, I receive TF1 perfectly in very good quality, and as soon as I reconnect the TNT receiver and perform a new channel search, I get everything except TF1, TMC, and NRJ12. Hello everyone, I have the same problem as most of you. I emailed the CSA, which replied that it all depends on the power of the transmitters and especially the geographical coverage of these transmitters. I was advised to have the orientation of the antenna checked by an antenna technician, but it's not guaranteed that he will agree since I didn't buy my flat-screen TV with TNT from him. Anyway, I haven't changed the orientation since the antennas are compatible. I believe that the more complaints there are, the faster the technical officials responsible for the geographical coverage will take action. I have been a TNT user for over a year. I also have the same problem with these three channels recently.  http://www.tvnt.net/multiplex_frequences.htm  According to this page, I learn that these 3 channels are part of the "multiplex R6." So it's this multiplex that is causing the problem. For those living in Lille like me, take a look at the Lille line in the table; a transmitter was set up on 12/21, could this be the source of our problems? For others, I see that several transmitters were set up on the same date, check if it’s near you.  It's still silly when we see the communication made for TNT at the end of the year.. RECEPTION OF PARTIAL OR TOTAL TNT: Main research tracks for missing channels (repeated again, regardless of the channel or channels or location or transmitter)  Hello:  First of all, partial non-reception may in some cases come from the adapter (internal or external) that does not handle the frequency shift observed on some TNT transmitters. Manually enter the channels (frequencies) and add 2 or 3 kHz if necessary... In principle, it should be possible to correct it; if not, either a new update or direct return to the after-sales service...  Then, more generally, from the antenna and the cable. Is the aerial a standard UHF type, meaning for all TNT channels, from channel 21 to channel 69? Does the aerial have sufficient gain and directivity? It is said that it should display at least 13 dB of gain, but 15 dB is sometimes more relevant. The higher the gain, the more the antenna is directive towards the transmitter and the less likely it is to be interfered with... It will need to be checked that it is well-directed towards your regional transmitter and clear above the surrounding rooftops in the useful direction.  Check the coaxial cable issue; does it fall into the recommended category with a triple shielding factor and low loss? The industrial reference is the mention 17 VATC or 19 VATC (it is written on it). If the cable is obviously damaged or oxidized, too old, replace it with a single-length segment, as short as possible, up to the adaptor's input.  Is a shielded splitter with F-type connectors used, and how many outlets are in the house, knowing that the more outputs the splitter has (2, 3, 4, 6, or 8), the more losses it introduces, to which coaxial losses (every 10 m - 1.9 dB) must be added? Is the TNT signal received at the aerial sufficiently strong, necessarily with high gain of 17.5 dB? If the signal is artifacted, freezing, pixelation, sometimes a black screen for a few moments, a low-noise UHF mast preamplifier can resolve weak field issues (at the edge of the range, in a dip, etc.)  Note: It is necessary to check that the installation does not have a signal dividing accessory in the shape of a molded "T"; this "thing" is prohibited in TNT. Hi, I had the same problem but I'm from the southwest.  We have an outdoor antenna that is under the roof. We bought a Samsung integrated TNT TV and we couldn't pick up TF1, TMC, and NRJ12.  I connected a mobile antenna, I did a scan, and that scan found the missing channels, and I reconnected it to my roof antenna. It works perfectly without interference.  I don't know where the problem comes from, but for me, it's RESOLVED, I hope this can help you.

Same problem for some time in Marseille 9th district. Until recently, and for over 2 years, we had interruptions on TF1 and TMC on DTT, but now it has lasted for more than a week. The other DTT channels are working fine. It's not an antenna or receiver problem; there is clearly a malfunction at the transmitter level (the Etoile transmitter in my case). I have the impression that they are directing the power intermittently in different directions to try to please everyone; they don't have the means to transmit at maximum in all directions. I live in Brittany and I have the same problems with TF1, TMC, and NRJ12.  I used to receive these channels well, then it deteriorated from time to time, and for several weeks now, it hasn't worked at all while I have no issues with the other channels. I've reset multiple times, but nothing works, these channels are no longer recognized.  Some of you suggest checking the antenna installations, verifying, etc ... but when it was working just fine before without changing any equipment, it certainly doesn't come from our installations and apparently it affects many regions. In my opinion, the success of TNT has been underestimated and it doesn't work as it should; it must be outdated.  What is worrying is that according to the messages I've seen on this forum, this has been happening since 2007 for some, 2008 for others, and 2009 in my case. So the problem isn't likely to be resolved anytime soon, if they are even trying to solve it ...

Problems and solutions....  Reception problems in certain regions, like here in Brittany on R 6, generally stem from installations, but occasionally from wave propagation and certain phenomena affecting the signal's path, cases known to all professionals, who understand that it’s futile to insist, ultimately resulting in random outcomes (+ unnecessary costs). Resetting equipment is pointless if the DTT signal does not consistently reach the antenna...  The CSA, responsible for the terrestrial distribution of DTT channels, has obtained a law allowing and regulating free services (without subscription) via satellite, better known as TNTSAT managed by C+/Astra/SES, and more recently, FRANSAT, managed by Eutelsat on Atlantic Bird 3. This is no longer DTT but satellite television, which doesn’t matter.  These satellite services help cover all forms of terrestrial shadow areas, with 99.9% of France being served, while it is estimated that “holes” in DTT will occupy 15% of the territory.  So, this kind of problem has indeed been acknowledged by the government and is therefore resolved. At no point does the audiovisual law state that DTT channels must exclusively be transmitted via DTT antennas....

like you all, I have issues receiving all the TNT channels broadcast on channel 65.
I installed an amplifier and tried turning the antenna, which allowed me to get the missing channels, at the expense of channels like Canal Plus, Cinema, etc. So it seems that in my case, I can only receive TF1, NRJ12; or the Canal channels (I am in Ingersheim and rely on the Mulhouse transmitter).
Does anyone know if I could achieve better results by directing my antenna towards the Kaysersberg transmitter???
I have a Canal Plus TNT decoder and a standard Thomson TV.
From April 2009 to November, I received all the TNT channels without problems, and since then I haven't changed my equipment.
It was early November when TF1 disappeared and the message "please check your reception" appeared.
The Canal Plus channels often have mosaic issues since I got the Canal Plus TNT decoder.
I pay 33 euros a month to be bothered (Canal Plus 3-star sat), but I am on terrestrial, installed by a pro.
THE TNT FOR EVERYONE!! a nice slogan, but are there satisfied people out there???

If you are facing TNT reception problems but do not know the cause or causes, here is a list of possibilities or origins for investigation..

1 - Is your transmitter or relay equipped with TNT SD and especially HD (R5)
2 - Are you sure you are within its coverage area (field dBµV/m)
3 - Is your site free from inter-transmitter interference (SFN or co-frequency)
4 - Are you in a wind farm or mountainous area producing variable mobile or fixed echoes, harmful.
5 - Does your antenna have compatible characteristics (bandwidth, directivity)
6 - Does your antenna have compatible performance (gain dBi based on BER)
7 - Is your antenna well cleared (on the roof with a mast) and without major obstacles, natural (e.g., uneven terrain, forest) or artificial, major in the axis
8 - If your antenna is installed in the attic/loft (under the roof), does it still benefit from a sufficient signal
9 - Is your antenna well directed (misalignment?)
10 - Is your antenna in the correct polarization, H or V
11 - Is the dipole/cable connection at the antenna box correct (without oxidation)
12 - If you have a coupler, does it allow the useful frequencies to pass through.
13 - Is the coaxial cable used still suitable (too many losses), does it show any signs of alterations
14 - Is the connectivity, plugs, suitable and do they ensure a perfect contact (plugging)
15 - Is your wall socket compatible and correctly wired
16 - Is your connecting cord between the socket and the TV input well made
17 - At this stage, how much margin in dB do you have at the socket, none, 10 dB of headroom, more, or less
18 - Do you live very close to a powerful transmitter, is your receiver not saturated
19 - Do you have a "small collective antenna" installation with a splitter, have you checked it
20 - Are you using a mast UHF preamplifier, is it powered at a distance by the power supply unit, via the coaxial
21 - Are you using an amplifier with selective filtering in the UHF band
22 - Are you using a 220 V distribution amplifier (with or without distribution), is it well powered directly
23 - Are you using a 5V amplified antenna, is it well powered by the TV or TNT adapter
24 - Have you properly deactivated the "amplifier" power supply function on TV and adapter, on an installation that does not include it
25 - Is the gain of the amplification in line with the losses
26 - Are you using a preamplifier + amplifier, are there saturation issues (signal amplified too strong)
27 - Do you have freezing, freezing of images, do you or your surroundings use various electrical and electronic devices creating problems (due to impulsiveness)
28 - Is your electrical distribution installation up to standard (EMC)
29 - Does the weather, climatology, timing, have an influence on the result
30 - Are you experiencing freezes or pixelation when any motor vehicle passes by

for Alsace here is some general information on the link, you need to be careful with "the antenna" it's not easy to pick up you need some "sauce" for the TNT to work well

I live in Brittany (22) and here, TF1 and the associated channels appear like a photo album. I only receive them when the weather is bad, and I have a collective antenna.
Since the advent of digital terrestrial television, I've moved four times in the region.
Either I didn't have M6, or it was TF1. In my opinion, it's still not quite right; they're rushing things to gain voters, as usual.

Hello, find out around your area about the reception conditions of the R6 that carries these channels; it's certainly the weakest multiplex like almost everywhere. I can no longer pick up TF1, TMC, and NRJ12 at all and had poor reception on the other channels. I searched for a long time to realize that someone had simply added an extension to the antenna cable... since then everything works very well.

I am in Meuse (55) near the transmitter of the Grand Relais in Sept-Sarges and I cannot receive TF1 and NRJ12. I also have a Samsung with integrated TNT and it doesn't work on the TV because people who are in Marne (51) have the same TV and they get all the channels, but they are connected to the Reims transmitter.

I had the same problem and after doing a lot (too much) of research on it, I just tried deleting all the channels and then doing an automatic channel scan again, and I have TF 1, NRJ 12, and I can’t remember what else.

So if you are in a building, this may come from an active filter located before the TRIAX that needs to be bypassed by connecting it directly to the antenna!
With the filter added by the antenna technicians, I receive 17 channels and without it, 22 channels (TF1 TMC NRJ12 PLANETE PARIS PREMIERE ....)
