So you connect your mp4 to your computer (in the central), normally your pc should recognize your mp4 and a file will appear. So take a song you want from your pc, right-click on it, click on copy, then go to the file that just appeared for your mp4 and right-click, then click on "paste". THERE you go, it's that simple!!!
