Warcraft III cannot initialize DirectX.

Hello
I recently reinstalled Windows and I just installed Warcraft III, and when the CD starts, this message appears: "Warcraft III failed to initialize DirectX. Check that DirectX 8.1 is installed and that your graphics card drivers are up to date."
However, I believe I have the latest updates regarding my graphics card and I have DirectX 9.0c, so I don't see what could be wrong, thank you for your help
