problem with ALCATEL Versatis 500 phone Solved

Question

Hello, I have an ALCATEL phone model Versatis 500. For the past few days, it has not been working: it's not a power issue since it turns on and rings without a problem, but I can't pick up when it rings or make calls from it. There is no dial tone. The BASE 1 indicator keeps blinking on the screen (which it didn't do before). I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, but nothing works! Could someone help me? Thank you in advance! Pauline

Hello, it's simply that your phone is no longer correctly registered on its base, check your manual on how to register your handset again! If it doesn’t work, unfortunately, your phone is dead!  You can trust me, I am an Alcatel certified telephone technician, I know what I'm talking about!!

Hi. For your problem, there is something to do first: reset your phone, and then if it doesn’t work, you can return to where you bought it. To do this, you need to press the [ ok ] button, then look for [settings], then search for [default settings], and then you can try to see if your phone works again, because they are not always ready when the phones are delivered, or after fiddling with them, they might stop working... good luck with this advice.

Hello, I'm still in deep trouble, I can't get my Versatis 500 recognized on my base 550 or vice versa. I thought I had found the solution by connecting a wired extension that allows me to plug in another handset into the same socket, but when I connect the second phone, the first one stops working. Since I've abandoned the DECT process that doesn't want to recognize a second phone and I know I'm not the only one in this situation, thank you for keeping me informed if you have found a solution. rayluc65

I have 2 Alcatel Versatis 500 Essential and Versatis Comfort phones. I would like to know if it is possible to set up a "PIN code" to lock the keypads on these devices so that my daughter cannot use them.

Indeed, like many, the display is degrading and I can no longer see what is written on the screen.

Nevertheless, I would like to integrate this phone into my DECT telephone "network".
For that, I would like to follow the procedure described in the manual, but since I don't have a display:

The same handset can be associated with 4 different DECT bases.
To select a base, it is necessary beforehand to associate the handset with the base (refer to paragraph 9.1).
Select a base:
Enter the menu by pressing .
Select "DECLARE" with the or keys and validate with .
Select "BASE CHOICE" with the or keys and validate with .
Select the base number (between 1 and 4) by pressing the corresponding digit, then validate with .

I would like to know if a Versatis 500 user could kindly tell me the menus of the Versatis.

Reply to cindy62: I encountered the same problem (versatis 620 that refuses to pick up during external calls and + something that keeps blinking) and I just "solved" it just now: remove and then replace the batteries in your handset, that should be enough to make the issue disappear. It's certainly a somewhat unsatisfactory solution for the mind but it avoids a hotline call that is generously charged...

Big problem with Versatis 630 Voice Duo.  Unable to make a call. Voice message when picking up the line says: "your phone is locked. to make a call you need to unlock it" ... Called support this morning ... apart from telling me to perform the operation on page 29 of the manual, which consists of locking or unlocking the handset's keypad, they didn't understand anything and were more than unpleasant. I had the same problem as many of you, the handset displayed "base1" and I couldn't access the settings to reset the handset... but I was able to solve the problem by re-pairing the handset with the base, following the user manual, (paragraph 10.1) if you no longer have the manual, it's easily found online.

My Alcatel Versatis 650 had the following problem: the message "base 1" was flashing on the handset. I followed the "pairing a handset" procedure, but it didn't work; I turned the handset off and on, and that didn't work either; finally, I unplugged and plugged the base back in; then I followed the pairing procedure, and my phone is working again.
