Hello MPMP10,
The question seems to refer to a PC issue.
https://www.commentcamarche.net/infos/25871-pourquoi-commentcamarche-n-aide-pas-a-trouver-un-mot-de-passe/
We could suggest solutions to recover the key if it is Bitlocker, with the help of the associated Microsoft account.
If no other solution, we will suggest reinstalling Windows.
To be continued...-

There was a duplicate in Hardware and System, removed, then this one in Windows, no trace elsewhere.
Not a big deal.
It's a bug that comes and goes with Windows 11 Home and encrypted devices from the start; without entering a password, you have to decrypt a freshly installed Windows just in case this bug occurs. I don't know if it really happens here or with which build exactly it did or does occur. It has never happened to me, but I had to disable BitLocker on PCs with Windows Home (to avoid future problems).
So I deduce that it's probably Windows 11.To install Windows, use the link to download the Windows ISO file to create a USB drive (minimum 16GB) that can be used to update, repair, or install Windows.
Once you have the Windows ISO file, you can create a bootable USB drive using Rufus or Ventoy.
In GPT mode for EFI (Secure Boot Support for Ventoy depending on how the BIOS is configured).
Disconnect Ethernet, boot from it using the PC's Boot Menu key.
You can search on Google "[Brand Model] Boot Menu Key."
Click (if offered): Previous Configuration Version.
Choose "Custom Installation" (not upgrade).
No need to format if there is space; if there are data, they will be found in a Windows.old folder (which will automatically delete after 10 days).
Install on the same partition, or alternatively, delete all system partitions and create a new one (this will delete the data).
Disconnect Ethernet, when Windows wants to force you to connect to a WiFi network, press Shift+F10 and type: oobe\bypassnro.
Choose (I don't have Internet).
No password required.
Search for BitLocker to disable device encryption.
